You know her personally do you?

When my dog got hurt it was in my own garden but a neighbours dog came in and attacked her, does that make me irresponsible as well?
You can't judge the op on one post.

It probably means you should make your garden fencing higher

Since everyone else is being a prick, I might as well be, how do you know kids play on the green?

They dont as its covered in sh1t. its a wonder the neighbour even told op.

    Thread sounds fake aswell.

Dogs do go outside it's not a crime you know.

Actually, it's against the law to allow your dog to roam; it is supposed to be under effective control at all times. This is why the pound is allowed to pick up stray dogs.

Sorry to hear about your dog, OP, hope she makes a full recovery soon.

Should I ask my neighbour to raise all the walls in his fields as well? I live in the stick fences mean nothing.

when you see the dog, feed it. And ring the pound. And tell them you were afraid the dog was worrying livestock, and you were afraid it'd be shot - hence you took it in. Give the dog to the pound. Screw the pathetic owner who couldn't give a fuck.

Poor dog will end up shot.

Hi again guys this thread has blown up quite a bit :/ My point in making this thread was to commend the actions of the postman and nothing else. Just to address a recurrent issue I do pick up after my dog, she was trained from a young age to do her business in a spot just immediately across from the house at the edge of the field or in the garden. There is always something there when I go to clean up but I know someone will point out that she may go elsewhere which is possible. As a result, as I said earlier, she will be supervised from now on. She normally is supervised but from time to time she is by herself - this will not happen any longer.

Also the field is not a park and is generally used by pet owners.

yes you could try. there will not be many postman in one area and the local postmen will probably know who he is or will have heard about it in their depot

There are a number of postmen in this area but I will try when next in the post office. I just wish I had a name or something to go on that's all.

Only if by large you mean fat. Then yeah they could probably use the exercise from the fight

Good to hear the dog was alright.

But shocking lack of respect letting a dog out every day to crap all over a green.

I was wrong to ever leave her alone but she is 14. Moreover she has a gentle temperament and is well trained. She's never been aggressive to anyone let alone attack someone.

Make no mistake about it. Given half a chance, a dog would kill you and everyone you love. It would then probably burn your house down and take a dump.

If the dog is fourteen, and has been doing this every day, it's likely the green is now a brown.

You can only trust her to act like a dog though. People always say 'My dog would never leave my garden' or 'My dog would never bite anyone' right up to the moment that the dog does exactly that.
