How do you tell which way around the fan goes when you're attaching an after-market CPU cooler?

I'm fairly sure mines on backwards (and blowing into the case).

Pit your hand in front of it and you'll feel the air!

In any case, you should be able to tell by the design of the fan blades, there might also be arrows on the fan casing itself.

Yeah, but you have to seat the fan before you can tell which way the air blowing - which is obviously too late.

There were no arrows that I could see. The instructions were in somewhat ropey english.
It really should be massive giant arrows that are totally unambiguous.

I was going to get some extension cables for my PSU to tidy up my case.

I may as well get some thermal paste. What exactly do you need to remove thermal paste and how do you do it?

About the fans.. Bought a second hand fan for my old computer off eBay.. Should I have it as an exhaust or an intake? It's currently the only fan the case has.. CPU runs at about 50c when idle..

    Yikes

Intake if you only have one fan but really you should have at least one intake and one exhaust.

To be fair its a pretty old system and I can't guarantee how accurate those readings are using Speed Fan :p AMD Athlon 64 4000+ processor with the cheapest 1GB Nvidia card I could buy :o

I currently have that one fan as an exhuast.. going to try making it an intake instead :)

Once there is somewhere the hot air can vent through i'd say intake would be better.

Cool. Unless its dispatched by today (it's in the actual process right now) I won't see it until the end of next week, because of the weekend, whic is fine, because I won't be home to collect it until next Friday anyways.

Is it possible to change the delivery address mid transit? (In fact it's not even been posted yet).

Have no experience with any other types of mechanical keyboards, all I can say is that it was an absolute delight to type this sentence!

Not the MX Blue and Brown versions. They were only announced at Computex, and aren't due for release until around July.

My rule is: Never bother with any of those DirectX 9/10/11/12/13.* etc. Usually not worth a shiet.
I would upgrade to new DirectX support only half way in in to its lifespam. Early development usually is very recourse heavy and new fresh GPUs with newest DirectX support can barely manage to pull it off.

Hows it all, giving a 2nd hand 3930K the glad eye at the min..Thing is its the C1-as opposed to the more recent C2-version. From what I can see, the only difference is the C2 version supports VT-d, which enables the CPU to pass PCI devices through to virtual machines...

I do not use nor do I plan to use this to run Virtual machines, main reason I'm looking at X79 is more PCI lanes.

Googled a good bit, but I can't find anything else that changed between C1 & C2, like performance, temps etc. that would warrant going for the C2 revision..Am I right in thinking that C1 will do me fine?

What was the CM TK keyboard deal? Don't like the layout (non-standard ISO, gross) but just wondering at the price.

It was about 62 euro delivered from amazon.

I think it's a wonderful layout, personally. Best of both worlds (in terms of a TKL or full-size keyboard)

I dont like the layout tbh i much prefer the TKL or a full proper keyboard but for €60 you cant complain

most of my pc arrived today and my i5 is Costa Rican (my CR sandy was a beast, as was tea's) so now i want to overclock but i havent a good cooler for it or a monitor to do anything with the rig :o

also those rog boards are ****ing heavy

It's €59 for the cm tk. I prefer the tenkeyless design. I don't like full sized keyboards.

You would pay twice that much for a full sized backlit mechanical.
