    Tommy Cooper,
Remember on the tv, when he fell to the ground, thought it was part of the act, like most, but
    had died on stage.

Probably all pumped up on steroids.

River Phoenix was one who died very young.

Thought both of these would be amongst the least shocking. If Daniel O Donnell was killed in a drive by shooting I'd be shocked. Look up tupac on wiki and there's a big list about various shooting incidents.

    That'd be even less shocking.
He's already been shot in the chest. And he ain't no joker.

All three of Adam Sandler's deaths have... not shocked me but given me a bit of a buzz.. like a very mild electrical current.

My friends and I used to make a bet at the start of every year about the first celebrity (under 65) to die that year, so we all found out about Michael Jackson when he called us to say we owed him a tenner.

Got him back with Amy Winehouse though.

For me its Dermot Morgan, James Gandolfini and Pippin the dog from Come Outside-BBC kids show from mid 1990s:

Have no idea why that dogs death had any impact but it did:confused:

Dermot Morgan because I knew the man. He died younger than my current age too. I have to add Princess Diana, not because I was a fan or anything, but the whole outpouring of grief from the British public was on a scale I had never seen before. Took my aback I'll have to admit

Michael Collins. The man was supposed to be a military man, standing between two cars in an ambush, what the hell???

Oh and Michael Jackson, I had tickets to see him in London, I was gutted. I would have given anything to see that gig, but I rather he was alive and had cancelled!

Steve Irwin was an odd one, mainly because I kinda guessed he'd have an odd death, but not one like that, I was really expecting the whole croc or alligator thing, not a stingray.

I think it's reasonable to be upset by a famous person's death, particularly if you're a fan, as you get to know them intimately through their work. Plus their death robs you of any future works they may have created.
