Any body having problems emailing the recruitment team?
Anybody applying for Shannon based cabin crew and previously applied for cabin crew in the last 6 months needs to email the recruitment team rather than filling out a full fresh application.

When I email them, my emails don't go through.

Just got a call there from Aerlingus for the phone interview- the man seemed to think I had applied for the expression of interest though :/ I told him I applied for the actual Dublin based cabin crew position. So he proceeded to ask if I was interested in the Shannon one because the Dublin one wouldnt be coming up until JANUARY!? A bit confused I asked was the Dublin one now closed and another one in January and he said no, thats when it is. :/

So at the end I asked when I could expect to hear from them again and he said not until October for the Dublin one.
Has anyone else heard anything?!? I'm still confused!

    Hi Guys,
I had the same trouble with emailing the recruitment team, so I just went on and filled in the form again.

    Hi Katiedaly87,
From what you are saying is that it seems as if they are putting together a panel that they can pick from.
It seems odd that they advertised the jobs in May and the jobs are not coming on stream until January.

Yeah that's what is confusing me. He asked a couple of times if I was interested in Shannon but I had to say no because I am based in co.louth...I hope that doesn't go down as a black mark against be but it just wouldn't be possible for me to move. I asked when the interview was over when I could expect to hear from them regarding the Dublin base and he said October time.

maybe it go delayed internally, mind you there not getting there 3 757's till jan either so it could coincide with that (this is all just speculation on my behalf.)

I applied for the Shannon base as well even though I am living in Kilkenny.
    It's worth a try.

How do you know that your emails aren't getting through ?? I hope mine did :/ now im worried it didnt!! :(
They like to keep things confusing anyway! Why advertise for positions that wont become available until next year?? Make a panel of candidates and then recruit from scratch for a separate base !?!

In the case of confusion above, perhaps this is an issue with EI outsourcing their HR functions recently.....?

Yeah I just checked my emails now and I have a "Failure to send notice" :( Ive tried to send it again but I think there must be something wrong with their system when a few of us have had out emails rejected :/
Yes could be, it seem to be quite messy at the moment anyway :/

Nope :( It seems replying to emails and applications is not a strong point of the outsourced HR department :/
My last email failed to send, i sent it again and it seems to have gone through but im not sure! :/ I may try ringing to see because I'm worried they didnt get it :/

Hey I rang them today! I got through no problem and explained why I was calling, the person who was dealing with cabin crew recruitment was out of the office so the lady took my name and number and said she would get someone to call me back at around 1pm this afternoon! I've still not heard anything back :(
Its really getting me down now because i don't think they have gotten my email and I feel like I may be missing an opportunity :( I was hoping to hear something by the end of the day but I haven't :( I dont really want to call again tomorrow because I dont want to be nagging them :/ I just wish I got an acknowledgement of my email :/

Having dealt with EI HR in the past I would say call again.
That "1pm return call" may take a week.

How long was the interview if you dont mind me asking? When did you initially apply? Was it the Vacancy for Dublin crew that was posted in may ?
Ive heard they are still screening applicants! But im not very hopeful at this stage :/

Interview was 30 mins. I applied through aer lingus website and its for cabin crew in Dublin. They already took on a lot of applicants but with the new San Francisco route opening they needed more staff. Interviews was yesterday and today.

I am still keeping my hopes up for the position.I think we should al remain positive hopefully we will get the long awaited call. Congratulations to the person who was successful in their interview. How exciting I only wish they would call me soon also.I completed a Iaot coarse at Waterford airport I thought my chances of getting a interview at least would be high.

Yes about 30 mins. 3 on the panel. Each asking lots of questions. Had to redo aptitude test first under scrutiny.
