No one said its impossible. But spending time as a cabin crew member in an airline probably won't be an advantage if you are looking to become a pilot. They are very different jobs.

Reading through that made me smile considering the communication I had with one of their onboard stewardess this week.

Having ordered an Irish breakfast for €7.50 and handing over a tenner I waited until she had finished serving the rest of the passengers.

As she came around to collect the remnants I put my hand up and was asked "What do you want?"

I explained I had paid a tenner and off she went to get the change which she duly plonked down on my table.

No apology, no words at all. Charming.

Why didnt you say it to her when you had paid for christ sake!? The money was probably put away when they had finished serving the rest of the pax

Because no person working for Aer Lingus or any other airline is allowed to have a bad day ever!

So now passengers have to request change???

    Bizarre rationale.

    Asinine response.

When dealing with the public have some manners. It really is not a lot to expect.

Aer Lingus stewardesses have got gradually worse over the years in my experience.

Yes you would naturally request your change where it has been forgotten to be given. In a polite way of course, this happens sometimes, its not a major deal.
Yes you are of course right there are little situations where good manners are not in order when dealing with anyone, this is of course a two way street members of the public myself included should also have manners.
Perhaps that is indeed your experience/opinion but that is all it is.
Now this is going off topic.... so back to recruitment
