No no... You get off at Jervis, the place you're looking for is on the Jervis stop, next to the Spar

Ah well you're grand so :)

Basically when you're at newlands cross, just follow the signs, you should go around a hairpin corner and over the bridge, turn left and into the car park, find a spot but heres where it gets tricky, you note your bay number, put it into the ticket machine and put in say 4 euro, and off you go

How long does it take from Cork to Baldonnel? Baldonnel to Red Cow in the mornings is about 30minutes

Isn't that what we have been telling you the past half an hour?! :P

From here it's about 1hr 20 mins to get to newlands cross, red cow is maybe another 1 min from there. It took you what, 40 mins to get to here from Cork the other day?

Add in waiting time, I'd say you should leave at half 5 just in case. It's in the middle and you won't have to put up with city traffic and then look for a parking space in Jervis. Parking at the park & ride is good, plenty of spaces.

it takes 2 hours to baldonnel so if i leave at 5:45 that should have me at red cow for quarter past 8ish. which gives the luas an hour to get me to jervis?

You're cutting it tight, give yourself more time than you think you'll need. You'd be surprised how long things can be when you're in a hurry. At least when you get there early, you can relax and calm down before your exam starts.

We had this little fella turn up in the workshop yesterday, there are a few feral cats around and this fella was abandoned and starving, had been playing with the lad we share a yard with the day before and seemed very socialable. I'd say less than a month old, absolutely tiny. Brought him to the DSPCA today and left him in, I couldn't keep him cos I'm allergic to cats

I'm not a fan of cats but he'd have been slaughtered in my yard and I don't think my dog would have been too happy when he came to visit lol

That's the same place I went years ago for Garda interview and it's only up the street from Jervis.

You were going to be a garda

Id be arrested for swirl marks:pac:

Yup, I had started in my last job only a month beforehand but had applied for the Gardai months before that. I got the interview and everything but decided I wanted to stay in the estimating job (loads of money to be made in the building industry and the time).

Tests went well. Big thanks for the advice, parking at the red cow and getting the luas in was fantastic, it's some service!

You successfully travelled the Red Line without being stabbed? Bravo!

Ah that's easy before 3 in the afternoon. After that though all bets are off

I'm off down to Mondello now to watch some testing, haven't got my own car ready for an outing today though :(

There was a lot of pikeys on it alright I never remembered so many on the luas before!
I do like Dublin though, when you're entering it, you know you're going into a relatively big city where something is actually happening unlike Cork!
Although everyone hogs the outside lane in Dublin and proceeds to do 100kph instead of 120kph, I was actually grateful to be back on the M8

The red line luas can be dodgy enough at times alright. The Jervis stop seams to be a junky attraction for whatever reason

Man I could do with an auto for commuting. My left foot was in bits on the way home today.

A more comfortable pair of work shoes would probably be cheaper though. :p

Friend of mine has an e90 2005 320d and there's a rattle coming from the gearbox area when he half depresses the clutch? Any ideas? There's not high mileage on it from what I remember. It changes gear fine and doesn't make a noise in normal use that you can hear

I know since I started working last week my boots are a pain when driving. Have to wear steel toe boots and I'm size 12 which doesn't help. I should really just change into normal shoes before and after work but I couldn't be bothered. At least I only have to drive 20 minutes for work which is great to be so close.

Is it there when in neutral and the clutch isn't depressed and gone when the clutch is depressed?

My opinion is that it's the DMF. Mine does the same as does almost every BMW when the engine is up to operating temp.

I have to wear formal shoes while cleaning bedrooms. :(
I have to go into Clarks and find something that looks decent but doesn't kill me feet.

    Bah!
I have about 30/40mins from door to car park.
    I'd love a love a local job.
