most Mario games seem to hold their value well, so worth a gamble imo, sure it's only £26.99 (approx €33) on Amazon.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I have it preordered on amazon anyway.

Speaking of New Luigi U, who or what in the blue blazes is Nabbit?

That bloody awful feeling you get when the realisation hits you whilst your sitting down eating your din dins, that you forgot to collect your parcel from the motel.
Have to try the whole way back in now to town to collect it.
    Damn it.

Really impressive from a technical standpoint, but apart from if your VB has a broken screen, has no real point that I can see?

Just pre-ordered it myself, a good deal indeed.
Figured I'd better make some headway in NSMB WiiU to prepare so had a half hour there, it's a lot of fun, certainly a better challenge than the Wii version.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether VirtualBoy games might come to 3DS virtual Console?

I would have thought Nintendo would rather not do anything to stir up memories of the Virtual Boy..

I suppose when you put it like that...

    Hipster Mario!
Johnny U should totally dress like that at Hallowe'en!
(it is also a hipster thing to use the apostrophe when writing "halloween", me and irony, we're mates!)
Anyone see todays tee's on Teefury?

    Infinite Loop Vs Marioshock Infinite.
I love the latter one, plus the tee colour works well.

I emailed them on that very subject around the launch of the 3DS.
The reply I got was pleasant, the person agreeing that they too loved the VB and that it's a good idea but, unfortunately Nintendo don't accept unsolicited game ideas :(
But, I wouldn't be surprised to see a VC release of the Virtual Boy catalogue some time, it's a natural fit and the games are pretty good, particularly Marios Tennis, Galactic Pinball, 3D Tetris, Red Alarm, Wario Land and a number of others.

Had a lovely Virtual Boy coming to me from Adverts. Arranged with the guy he would deliver it to Dublin or get someone to do it. Then he disappeared for a few weeks and is now telling me he sold it to another adverts user who offered more cash

Report the ad, the Adverts mods will be able to determine if there was off thread dealing. To what end I don't know, but still, the more the Adverts system is broken the more I keep wanting to point it out to them

It's really frustrating isnt it?

Follow the rules and you'll lose out on items as other guys won't have any issues with sending the seller pms over asking.

I think adverts should only allow pms when the seller agrees to a price on thread (and he can only receive PMs from the person who agreed to the offer)

As it stands, as soon as you make a post on the thread you can pm the seller. Makes a mockery of the whole system.

    Here's the response from adverts:
    Hi Steve SI.

This is in response to your report.

It is your option to leave feedback for ***** for not completing the sale as agreed.

Please be aware that retaliatory feedback is not allowed and will be removed if reported.

If you are still interested in buying a similar item, please set up an email alert in order to let you know when this item is listed on the site.

    Kind regards,
    Hannah

poor response, adverts is so frustrating to use. they should ban comments completely i think, and only allow offers of money. and PMs only when they accept that offer. like the best offer thing on ebay.

Thats very poor. No mention of underhanded pm's/off thread dealing either? If the seller pm'd you & admitted he sold the item to another user who offered higher, is there a facility to report that pm?

Perhaps create a thread on their Talk To forum, for all the world to see

Not sure. I wasn't online much that day then I spotted some shenanigans on his for sale threads - items being removed and then his account closed.

All very hush hush, don't mention the war etc. :pac:

Guys (and Sera), would any of ye know much about emulators on the PSP? I've a Sega emulator and put some Sega CD games on it today. For some reason though, they don't have any sound. They do have sound effects, but not the background sounds. I've tried the same files on my laptop's emulator and they work fine. Is there some trick or something I've missed when you try it on the PSP?

Did you put the game's music WAV files on the PSP along with the game roms?

Sega CD games come as game rom & sound files.

You may also need to just compile a cue file? Can dowload a cue maker for them here

I'd done this before though I thought. The cue file is in there as well. I just put the .bin and .cue files into the rom folder. The same .bin runs with full sound on the emulator based on my laptop. Not sure where I went wrong.

I didn't even bother with reporting him after he screwed me. Adverts is shoite.

@stevesi - that's super lousy! You offered pretty much what he was looking for too. I wonder who he sold it too, as I think I was the only other buyer offering on the ad.

In a totally unrelated note, check out what ill be posting up in the get thread in a while. It's a Nintendo handheld with 3D properties ;)

Anyone know why Pyongyang closed his account?

    I don't exactly know why.
    Here's what happened recently.
He was selling some stuff and three of the items were against the Marketplace rules.
We are under an enormous amount of pressure to make sure that the items sold there are arcade and retro, anything else could see the Adverts mods/team kick up a fuss.
So, I issued a warning and asked for the items to be removed. He may have been away from his PC so I edited the ad for him, leaving the rest of the items in place. That's it. That evening he closed the ads and his account. Perhaps there was something else going on. Perhaps it was the warning.

All those using the Arcade and Retro Marketplace were advised to read the rules before using it, and that the mods and cat mods would insist on the rules being followed.
We have little lee-way to speak of and, as a result, neither do those that use it.
So, there we are. I am posting this as there have been a few questions. If the account was active I would not be discussing this due to concerns of a users privacy. Seeing as the account is closed and so the user cannot, under that name, set up another account, I see no problem with making this known. If the Cat Mod or others have an issue they are free to delete this.

We knew that the creation and maintenance of the Marketplace was going to mean extra work for both myself, Logie and EnterNow, and this has been the case.
It does, also, pain me to edit or issue anything to regular users, but everyone should understand that I, and the others, just don't have the time or will to police the thing 24/7 and really need the co-operation of users to keep it running well.
This is why only users who have the appropriate post count or membership length can use the Marketplace.

A game I've been looking for for ages finally shows up on ebay and it's also a decent priced buy it now. I ask the seller if they will post to Ireland.

    17 euros.

17 euros to send a loose Gameboy cart from Germany to Ireland. I was quoted by another seller for the same thing for 4.50 a month ago. This guy is refusing to send it by anything less than DHL. Grrr....

Pity alright. He sure had some good replies to questions and I enjoyed his input.

I've said to people who use boards before irl, it can be a strict site but a&r is allowed to get a little bit sillier and off topic without mods 'reigning it in' because it always does get back on topic anyway.

Even the fact that you ciderdude tried to advise him via pm before making a call that you had to says a lot about a&r modding.
