Unless he/she means 220e per person one way? Would still be quite cheap though. I paid 1,300e for the two of us,m return ticket to Bridgetown

Unless he/she lives in the States or something! Then it makes sense.

Barbados is a hell of a lot more expensive than Puerto Rico though.

We're taking the urchins camping in France, like we do every year. Heading further south than usual though. Phew, crazy times.

Bloody right it is, couldnt believe it. But with the flights and hotel I paid a total of about 1600e (without food, etc)

Myself and the missus took a couple of weeks off in September. We were planning to go to Mexico, one of those all inclusive jobbies. Place looked amazing.. two weeks for 1400 each, drink, food, flights, hotel on the beach.

Then we checked the weather for September and its rainy season in Mexico. 20 days of rain expected.

So we're going to Sardinia instead for 7 days.

Was in New York for a week back in March. Been to Madrid a few times since and going back in a few weeks. Malta in August and will do a city break in the Autumn but don't know where yet
That seems worryingly cheap for crossing a large ocean in a metal tube. :-/

Considering the price, I'd assume they mean here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Rico_de_Gran_Canaria

yeah put money into the muslim brotherhoods coffers.. well done

Those guys are no where near any of the Red Sea tourist resorts. The worst thing that can happen in Sharm is a dose of the trots.

I'd recommend Gozo to anyone going to Malta - interesting place which also wants to be independent!

    Independent from Malta?

I hope to get to Malta again at the end of the year! Spend new years there like two years ago. Moving to teach in Italy next year so hopefully will take a trip on the ferry to Sicily.

No idea. I have taken no annual leave so far since Christmas so definitely looking to go away in the next few weeks. Got a friend in Brisbane I must visit. Then back home for xmas for 2 weeks.

Looking to go somewhere exotic next year. Thinking Fuji, Vanuatu or Mauritius.

Sicily is awesome. Not so pushed about the capital; Palermo but the rest of it is stunning. So much history.

Going to Donegal this weekend for the International Rally. Ourselves and the gang have made it an annual thing the last few years, book a house, go see rallying, pig out and have drinks and the craic in the house. Only thing is it's in my husband's home area and we are staying a stone's throw from his parent's house so it won't really feel like a holiday in some ways. But we are taking a few days off work next week to spend some time with them while we are up that far.

Then staying in Dublin for a night next month for Michael Bublé concert so I am really looking forward to a night away, hoping to go out on the town after but knowing me I will just want my bed, can't do late nights anymore :(

We are hoping to buy a house this year so once that's done we are going to set up a savings fund for a proper holiday next summer - either Lanzarote or Italy.

When you get to Sicily, your best form of transport is the buses. Not so much the city buses but the city to city buses. Much nicer than the stiflingly hot trains.

Will be doing the annual road trip accross the Europe in three weeks. So UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Batic States and end in Sweden. Loads of driving but should be fun.
