Custom made orthotics in Dublin.

    I'm just wondering what the best place is in Dublin for custom orthotics? I've been using the over the counter solutions for a while now and although they worked at first the tendonitis in my knee is creeping back in, i'm hoping to go to a foot specialist to get this problem sorted once and for all.

    My first advice would be, if you haven't already, to seek professional advice for someone who can find the root cause of your problem. Preferably someone highly recommended who has a background in treating your particular sport. Orthotics can be a solution in some cases but overall are generally over prescribed in this country.

    If however you do want to pursue this avenue I would recommend Mike Davis in the Welshod clinic in Monasterevin. While not in Dublin it would be worth the travel compared to most orthotics that are found in Dublin/Ireland

    I have already gone to a physiotherapist who prescribed these over the counter orthotics...they don't seem to be improving things just rather stemming the problem a bit. I was under the impression that good orthotics companies would run scans and by extension be able to recommend exercises/stretches etc. as well as the right orthotic correction required.
