Fuarrrkkk I only just ordered this dual dashcam and now see Techmoan review a great action cam that can be used as a car camera:

I suppose all is not lost, I wanted the dual one anyway... could have used it today to see how much space I put in front of an 04 Octavia TDI before I cut in which lead to a bit of a road rage incident...

Looks abit high profile to have left in the car, would prefer something that is almost invisible behind the rear view mirror myself

I only park in work and at home with the odd trip to the shops (in daytime). I suppose it could be a concern in some areas... Also, get a black one :) or are you referring to the one on ebay?

Need I tick both the work veichels box as well as the car category for the application form for the driving licences or is it just the car? (If you now what I mean?)

    Also

If the driving Licence expires how long before is it, that the person must sit the driving test?? Or once the DL, has expired are you allowed to apply for a new one???

Tick the box for W. I'm pretty sure your entitled to it, I did get it on my licence anyways.

You've up to ten years to renew your licence after it expires after which you've to take the test again.

I've grown tired of my cheap 20 euro job.

Think I'll look about for an upgrade.

I find the msport seats in the e90 excellent and its my lower back that will get sore first, thank you merc driving late for mass woman who slammed into the back of my van after a hard days work.

I have found its all about the postion of the seat being correct otherwise ill get very uncomfortable quickly, and it could be a tiny bit out and ill notice.

It's always a sore hip or sore/restless legs I end up with after a long run and recently there have been a lot of long runs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,618 ✭✭✭ba_barabus

I'm on a long round trip again today so I'll try adjust the seat and see how it goes. I've injured it a number of times so its just something I have to get used to. The Rover I had before was great though. Never any pain

Comfort seats ftw! Are they available in the 3 series? I still find new positions I like to try for a few days... (no laughing at the back)

What I find when my back flares up is a higher driving position in the car makes a huge difference. You feel like you're on stilts but leg movements are less strenuous.

Small tip between 3 cars there 1 hour ago on the headford road cars still there with 3 ambulances and 2 police cars.

    Madness over whiplash at best

Just pulled in for a 10 mins as I'm in agony again. I've raised the seat as much as I can. Cheers for that MC. Nothing else left to adjust now so fingers crossed.

The non-m sport seats are a right hoor for it. I spent the first couple of weeks after I bought the car in agony wondering what the fook I'd done to myself, eventually figured out it was the seats.. I'm pretty certain it's to do with the angle of the driver seat to the road, and the steering wheel offset. Probably end up twisting/straining your back when trying to straighten your body up with the road.

I'd imagine Msport seats are much better because the side bolsters hug you into the proper seating position and you don't really allow you to move, or you'd damn well know if you were sitting in it wrong :D

Also it was my right shoulderblade area that was getting very, very sore.

Worth seeing if your car can be retrofitted with cruise control; this really helped alleviate discomfort for me.

In this country, it'd be a waste *90% of the time.

*True statistic made up by me

Can anyone tell me if Mazda ever sorted out their diesel engines in the Mazda6? If so, from what year? Going to be upgrading in the New Year and I'd love one again, just would not be petrol (not with my mileage averaging 1400KM a month). Cheers!

I use it all the time.

Makes driving pretty handy, even around town sometimes. Keeps my leadfoot below the limit.

The 2.2 is more reliable from 2010 on. Basically a facelift one should be ok, but they can still mix diesel with engine oil. There's a marker on the dipstick to keep an eye on for this. I wouldn't bother buying one for your small mileage though.

Good info, thanks. 1400KM a month is small mileage? Jasus tell my wallet that ;)

It's fitted and I use it as much as I can on the motorways. In fact I won't ever have a car without it.

I think you could be on to something CM. I'm almost certain its being caused by me twisting into a better position. I might try and get a sit in a car with the better seats.

What mileage would you consider diesel worthy sir?

When you do more than 20 miles per journey regurarly..... 32 kms to and 32 kms from. I normally put up around 800 kms a week but thats a cheap car to run!

20 miles a journey is just my opinion, some might argue more or less but thats what I think one should be doing to consider going diesel :)
