    So...the game?

Reached level 30 this morning. Still have to try and build The Pimento Grove but there is always other buildings to build!

Well you should have another 5 days or so to build up your cash before there's any chance of an update. I found once I reached the top level things slowed a lot. And over the last few events I was able to build up loads of cash and buy land with it. I've 3 more rows of land to buy so close to owning all land, until the Squidport update that is. Only real cash stuff that came up was the Skinners Mum update and the Fat Tony one. Other than that there was plenty of cash available for whatever you wanted.

I'm 30,000 off having enough cash for the gentleman's club and then I'll have Fat Tony's Compound to build once the task comes up so I won't get much of a chance to save money.

Also, buildings taking a day and a half are a pain in the arse.

Started playing yesterday. Lots of stuff seem to need Donuts, which appear to be few and far between

Donuts are the easiest thing to get, just pay for them :D (I never have).

Nothing important needs donuts though. What I did was just saved them up and bough a few Homer Buddha's which can pay out large amounts of donuts (they can also pay out crap, but that's gambling for you).

El Chemistri takes 36 hours to build, WTF? Is this going to be one of those buildings that no one goes to?

I think I've only had one quest for it.

Wiggum uses it I think only the once. After that it's just a daily collection point.

It used twice in the quest line!

    Ralph Wiggum House quest line
    3. Lisa prompts Chief & Ralph Wiggum to eat at El Chemistri (4 hours each) (This Little Wiggy Pt. 4)

    Buddhist Temple quest line
10a. Carl & Brockman eat at El Chemistri (2 hours) (Carl's Rise Up the Ladder Pt. 3)

Casino Racino not prompting to start - Fat Tony quest line

Marge is prompting the Build of the Hermans, so she is blocked from continuing the Fat tony quest line!

Once I built herman's the Fat tony quest line started again!

Also spent the donuts I had on the community center and nuclear warhead, I hope i don't regret it when the next update comes out!

The one near the Power Plant looks a bit out of place. I'm just gonna use the one for Ned. And try get enough space for a storage yard behind Herman's where they'll be for sale. Buy up two or three.

I reckon an update could actually come this Thursday. The level 30 tasks seem short and Zestys isn't included at all.

Moved my shelter from there into a fenced area next to hermans, it goes well with the warhead placed there as well!

I got my first decent prize in my mystery box today, squeaky voice teen!

I spent the last week building up my cash, got hermans built and currently going through quests for that.

Is zestys essential? Its really expensive and I am in real need of land/ some sort of proper structure to my town. Its quite bare decoration wise but I am in to the expensive land.

Thread on EA forums discussing this!

Edited: TSTOtips has a post about zestys

There is no tasks for it and it does nothing for your star ratings!

I about half way collecting money for it, but I think I might be better off using the money to buy some Kwik-E-Mart's to get my star rating up so I would have a bigger multiplier for when I collect my corn in 3 days!

The other option is to save the money for the update that's due!

    What is everyone else doing?

I have ~500k in case the update hits this week, hoping to get 600 by thursday, kinda stopped playing for a little while only doing 24 hour tasks at the moment, need a break from it until the next update.

Has anyone else got the glitch where you send the characters on a task and when you come back their not doing it? First few times I thought I was getting forgetful!

Yep have seen that a few times. Sent bart and millhouse doing a sleepover yesterday evening now they either finished early or stopped as I gave them new stuff to do this morning

The glitch in the game to do with characters stopping tasks was only affecting joint tasks or ones involving objects. Legs and Louise joint task, Agnes Skinner and Comic Book Guy were the problem as well as the Rich Texan riding the mechanical Bull. Haven't seen it being a problem with normal characters and tasks.

The problem is usually to do with building or moving stuff around.
