Well we've come to the south of France and can't rent a fecking car. I don't have a driving licence but she does. She doesn't have a credit card but I do. None of them take Laser/Maestro and none will accept cash either.

This is going to be a long difficult holiday! Thankfully the hotel rents bikes........ at least we're not limited to how far we can walk.

EDIT - Could we buy a car I wonder? Would our insurance cover that?

Walked past the Audi garage the other day and was having a nosey at the R8.

Could someone tell me what thing on the opposite side of the caliper is? (they're ceramic discs)

    Water cooling?...

I'm considering putting bonnet lifters on my car at the minute, so should I go for it?

    Something along this line

Guys whats the part called with yellow paint my car failed the NCT because the ball joint is worn on it :( . The Car is an Audi A4 B6. 8936278762_ddd8cf93ec_c.jpg

Upper wishbone, replace both uppers at the same time (and ideally both lowers too). The balljoint being worn is slightly uncommon, usually the rubber bushing (the part closer to the engine) is the part that wears.

Second hand car prices in france are mental!

Try booking it over the net, in her name with your card?

    That's pretty slick looking

I like it.. needs to be RWD or at least AWD though.

I hate faux-sports cars, if you are going to design something cool looking and "sports coupe", then you should at least give it the proper FR layout

Has anyone here ever bought off http://fkperformance.ie/ ?

Im looking at a set of alloys and he seems to be doing the best price compared to alloy-wheels.ie and anyone on donedeal. Pretty confident they're replicas, but that doesnt bother me. Or should it?

Well. My carpark lost a member. I dont have my Bangornomics Mondeo Tank any more. My buddy took it off me for 100eu 5 mins ago. It was sitting outside for a year, never touched. Buddy put in the key and started it off from first try! Rear brakes completely jammed though lol. Needed some "hammer" help. :D

So that its, its gone. I am sort of happy, but very sad at the same time. that Tank saved me out of financial death after skyline left me broke. great car, Will always be remembered!

Pre licence, I booked and paid for cars in Italy, Spain and the UK without a problem. Only the UK insisted on a second driver charge for the actual driver. Iirc both of s us signed the hire contract on each occasion. If it doesn't tick abox, it might be more difficult but there shouldn't be any reasonable egal or commercial preclusion.

    Wheels or wheels/tyres?

    Have you asked eastcoast alloys?

    Or even tried Ebay.co.uk

The ditches look like they were cut by a blind man whereas the lawn is immaculate; what must the owner think! :D

Either alloys or alloys and tyres. They're a bit of a pain to find, since they go by many names. "scirocco alloys", "Turbine alloys" or their real name, "interlagos" alloys.

Never heard of eastcoast alloys, but just checked em out and they dont have em on their site.

Never really thought of Ebay, since postage from the UK might be crippling. Theres a set on ebay for £550+$65 postage. Thats probably gonna work out around €730-€740. £200 less if I get the without tyres, so it kinda depends what quality the tyres are on them. Last thing I want are rock hard "economy" tyres.

FKPerformance has the same deal for €700 - linky. Again, depends what his definition of "performance" tyres is.

Paris is quite confusing .... lots of porches four doors !

Plenty of mercs, bentleys and a rolls royce !

Saw brad Pitt at a movie premier at ugc normande...

Going for dinner in a citreon dealership / cafe bar restaurant soon. Very strange.

Girlfriend has lots of pics of cars !

I just stand in front of a white wall. Set the zoom on the camera. Set the size on the computer and then print as many as you need :)

Might take a couple of attempts to get the size right but once it is close you can just trim it down.
