Why so many questions? I mean if you got the link, you'll know what they're like, if you didn't then you don't need to know.

Yeah i agree it did seem a bit easier but know I wasn't quick enough answering some of the timed ones! Just a waiting game now!

Yeah did the practice on monday evening when I was very tired. got 16 and then 20 right though. I'll make sure and do it when I'm alert! Feels like some pressure doesn't it, with the timer thing going off on the screen.

I'd love to know how all Applicants were eliminated and selected as Contenders for this?!? Like what kind of work would you have had to have been doing before in order to be with a chance to get picked?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,263 ✭✭✭Gongoozler

Just completed the actual test. They don't tell you how much you got :( think I got about 20 though, felt I did well enough. Good luck to whoever has still to do it. let us know how you get on.

I did the practise ones a few times. But that count-down clock got my blood pressure rocketing. I found the ones with the letters much harder. Be lucky if I got half of them right. If the daily job is that pressurised they can keep it. I think the personality questions were looking for workaholics who loved exceeding targets in the minimum amount of time and who had zero creativity. Anyway, will have to wait and see. Did anyone get any info on when the next stage starts?

I did the test it was not good, id say i missed about 5 as i was too slow, i just panicked, Not Good!! Im not sure how these things are scored but im not v hopeful i did well enough, does anyone know when will we hear about the next stage?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,263 ✭✭✭Gongoozler

They seem to be fairly on top of progressing things, so hopefully it might be this week we get feedback about the next stage.

I also did interview 2 wks ago then did test on Sunday 26th not a word. found the figures and letters matching time crazy not enough. Can you imagine working in a situation where you have to make a decision in 3 seconds I don't think so. I know I did bad at this one, however, I also know I would be good at the job as I would have serious attention to detail, quick learner, how can they judge this on that type of test. anyone out there hear anything.:)

I'd say they had some amount of applications hence the need to find ways to whittle it down

The test is probably an electronic way of eliminating applicants who did not meet their minimum standard whatever it was.

I'd imagine they will cross reference the answers to the personality test with the reactions to the numbers test and send out dates for face to face interviews for those successful

I'm guessing there will be 2-3 positions for every county (with 1-2 of the positions in selected counties being part time).

The roles commence in September which is 3-4 months away, so face to face interviews may not be in the immediate future, thats just a guess.

I'd imagine its taking a while to peruse their data and results of the tests so its no surprise if theres no notification successful or not, for the next week or so.

Thank you for that, would be great to know exactly if we have got through, and what the next step would be. We'll just wait and hopefully we'll get the answer we're looking for.:pac:
