Now I got a rattle. I am 100% it's coming from front brake pads. They feel sort of lose a bit. So when driving on, it rattles. If I press brakes - no rattle.
to make it worse my buddy/mechanic fecked off back to Lithuania for good. So I have no mechanic now :(

You aswell?? Hah! It's funny that the 2 people who gave me the most slagging over mine now both have it!

    Karma Beatch!!!!

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/4770682

its fast turning into a joke how often this car can turn up for sale with the mileage getting smaller each time. the advertised mileage is literally half what it really is.

That's a very sly thing to do. If I remember correctly, did you view that car yourself? If so what was the mileage then?

Anyone that buys a diesel thirteen years old with low miles and no history and thinks its genuine is off their rocker.

We have to remember the Joe Soap fad for diesel started in 08 with the cheap tax, before that the only people that actually bought a diesel were people that needed them, they were always much more expensive and we all known the Irish and the cheap as possible route.

    Can't eat fish.

    Fear of bones.

The last time I ate a mackerel fillet I ate the whole thing fine and the last bloody bite I got a bone in the jaw!

Have a look, I'd be willing to bet one of the anti-rattle clips have done a vanishing act :D

Don't think I've ever gotten a bone in fish from a chipper. And I'd eat a fair bit of it!

Bit of smoked cod wouldn't go wrong later on!

Finished my exams yesterday so I am delighted it was a long month.
On another note the focus seems to be running ok 200km on it since the incident yesterday. So hopefully if I keep the tank over 1/2 full that should solve it for the moment. I'm so sick of spending money on this car :( so hopefully things will pick up from here. It just has to last me four years and after that as far as I'm concerned it will have paid for itself so won't I won't really care what it's worth then.

Tbh I like the car but it is getting to the stage were there is something new wrong with it every week. Anyway hopefully things will pick up. Hoping to get a summer job for the summer so that should be good :) there's one in perticular I'm hopping to get which involves a good bit of driving 1k km a week plus but that doesn't bother me.

I feel the same way about my own, so much so that I'm thinking of replacing it as thinking about it annoys me. :(

I was thinking the same all right myself. But after thinking about it from every possible angle for me its best to try and hold on to the car for 4 years If it lasts me the 4 years it can go to the scrap yard then for all I care. I just think I would loose too much if i sold it the way it is now. But it is a bit like screwed if I keep it screwed if I sell it.
I completely understand where you are coming from it is annoying just feels like a money pit. I was so disappointed when it let me down yesterday and I was have a great day just puts you in a bad mood then.

Wanting to get some tints in my car, so im looking to get my NCT over and done with quickly. Was checking this out on the NCT site, but someone made a right balls of it over there it seems.

How do I know when my car is due to be tested? - FAQ.
PLEASE NOTE: NCTS can issue your certificate up to six months early for a first time NCT and three months early for subsequent NCT tests. For example, a car was first registered on the 5th January 2009. The car was due for its NCT on the 5th January 2013, the car is brought for its NCT on the 26th October 2013 and it passes. An NCT Certificate is received with an expiry date of 4th January 2015

Looks like NCT are giving the green light for 10 month late NCTs. Shouldnt that read 2012?

I do sound like a broken record, but mx5 is still the coolest thing that you can actually afford without giving your left nut and kidney in local pawn shop.
I just wish you could shop around for Scooby parts online like you can do with mx5 :(.

Anti rattle break pad clips, maybe even springs. Need to have look properly. The break pad rattle really is pushing on my tits now.

Anyway, finally gave Scooby a wash today. I discovered that I used out the last bit of shampoo too. Looks llike I finally got excuse to order drying cloths with shampoo lol. Need some good solution for tar too.

Message to all fellow motorist, who love to clean, wash, polish your cars for hours - you are decking weirdos!

Sitting in front of my PC, listening to Miami Hotline soundtrack, answering to you on boards.ie, eating a big feck off hot dog and (I am not talking about my two sausage dogs :pac: ) - that is relaxing.
