    We have more prominent bum cheeks because we're bipeds. Other animals that walk on four legs have them but they're just not covering the business end of things.

    Soda water uses bicarbonate of soda, sparkling water uses a 70/30 or 60/40 mix of nitrogen/CO2, that's why the bubbles in normal soda water are bigger, and doesn't fizz all over the gaff if you open a shaken bottle.

    Why do humans have arse-cheeks when the rest of the animal kingdom doesn't??

    Many apes and monkeys do as well. As we are bipedal and thus tend to sit on our arses when resting this area needs more padding to protect the bones and whatnot hence the cheeks.

    same way some four legged animals have pads on the backs on their hind legs as they rest on these when sitting.
