Not telling you your own business but i had friends who did this back when it worked out well cheap and what they learned was if your going to the hassle it's grade 4 or nothing

Thanks for the advise, Even my wife said dont get another white car but its the best one there at the moment. I said if I dont win this one then I will wait for a black to come along, I will be starting to build an extension at the back of the house and there will be no room in the drive for a skip and 2 cars anyway.

Actually the site just updated, that black one I originally wanted sold for €4333:eek:, almost double the going rate. Thanks guys, the more think about it the more I am settling for something I dont want. The whole point of buying a car from Japan is that you can pick things like colour and spec. I am going to wait for a better car to come along.

Went for a little road trip down to Killarney to sus out some camping spots. The Yaris managed to do about 5l/100km on average with 5 big ish lads in the back. This is of course all according to the Trip Computer but even if it did 6.5/7, it's impressive enough.

Were there any hills and if so how did it do on them?

There was the odd slight incline alright. It was a bit pushed to accelerate on them but sure, it was a 1.0 with 5 lads and some gear in it :pac:

I can't believe that people actually like these monstrosities

IMO they are the ugliest car to come out in the last 10ish years. I can honestly say that I wouldn't drive it if I got it for free.

If you got it for free you might well be able to afford to run her. :D

    55 blips.

Fits nicely in behind the cash card.

Quite impressed with it albeit, they are somewhat flimsy but a long shot better than what's past.

There has been one at the entrance to my estate these past few months just off Merrion road beside the Chinese embassy. No idea what its for. Temporary fixture with a swivel ball type camera

    Sorry.

It's €35 for lost or stolen and yes, you'd need to hand in your old one if doing the donor thingy.

Nope, seems to be the Dublin (and expanding) equivalent though.

It's mad really, I was crunching numbers and the people making the most sales in the office aren't far above minimum wage, for that work you'd want more!

I'm afraid if was in my contract that I'm not allowed sell the product once I've left the company.
Don't know why anyone would want to, mind.:p

Madness how these companies act, basically you were a subcontractor right? and they look after your books for you? and you earn nothing, even if you sell loads...

I dunno about the Dublin one, but that RK corp is one fcuked up operation.

Spot on, classed as self employed a d you can take as much time off as you like, spend as little as you like on the field. The only thing is, if you work a normal day, you get no money.
If you want a holiday, you save your ass off because its commission only.

There was a few cool aspects, like being able to just start work anywhere in the world where the larger corporation is (the one I was with was in contract with a huge multinational company).
And the people in there were genuinely really nice so it was a bit disappointing in that sense, probably the nicest bunch out if any job I've had.

The business model works for them though, as cruel as it is.

Just be careful, the fact that you were 'self-employed' now means that your not entitled to the scratcher, should you leave!

    Oh I never left!
I wouldn't have been able to afford to go to work with out it.

Sounds like the same stuff they ploy brainwash the workers in RK with... but not as bad.. promises of work in NYC and Paris etc..

They didn't play loud music to you in the morning and tell you how wonderful you are and that you should stay away from negative people? :pac:

Hard luck though dude, keep the head up, and try get a job that pays stamps at the very least if you can..

Oh Christ do I realise I dodged a bullet with this one.

I may have an an interview with the same company. Once I did some sums on it, took a look at the figures offered, it worked out that by week's end on the average payout, I'd be earning -10 Euro once costs were accounted for. There were other alarm bells - like the fact that I really had to dig on the internet to find that it was a door-to-door sales job, was commission-only, among other things.

So I called them up and told them I wasn't interested anymore.

Now it's just back to waiting to hear nothing back from everything else I've sent out there.

At least I got a chance to buy a suit that fit, and to take the new house-car out around the airport roads.
