Today I bought a new set of " L" plates (I know exciting..) as my old ones where gone into ribbons. The ones I bought only stick on the outside of the window. So I'm wondering if anyone confirm that's it's ok to stick them on the inside of the window with sellotape for the driving test? I'm asking because I don't want to fail over something like that.

As long as they are secure, visible from the outside and all the more important not blocking your view then you should be ok.

Spent from 8:30 'till about 20 minutes ago claying, polishing and sealing my car with 166man.
You know you've caught the bug when you're detailing at midnight. :D

Cheers again, man. The car's never looked so good. :)

Good luck tomorrow, BW. You should fly it. :)

    Haha your alright..

I heard that if you start filling a tank with water, that when it overflows the diesel will come out first as its less dense?

    Any truth in that?

    Yup, it's true.

Then you have a tank full of water though.

Well diesel is more dense than water alright.
But why would you fill the tank with water?
And since you won't siphon the diesel, how do you plan getting rid of the water?

Diesel is definitely less dense than water alright. If you don't mind destroying the tank the best way I can think of is just punch a hole through the bottom. Obviously don't drill it because you'll get swarf in your diesel.

The thing is lads, im scrapping the car, and I want to get the diesel out of the tank before it!

Any drain plug on the tank? google it there's plenty of vids etc. Be carefull when working with fuel as it's high pressure, and can be a bitch if it gets in your eyes .

Turn on the ignition and let her run?
Surely diesel that's been mixed with water is useless?

Lads polo's going for nct on wednesday. Have a warning light that pops up every few days and then disappears again.
What's the story with the nct and warning lights?
    It's the engine management light.
Is it an automatic fail if there's a warning light or if everything else is fine then she's good to go?
