I notice it says Blu ray drive, it's been touted before that it won't be a player but just a medium for reading game discs?

It's certainly designed to look more inline with home cinema components, which is a good thing IMO. I like the look of it. Wasn't impressed with much else.

meh it will be sitting under my tv if i buy it. Im not looking to have sex with it. I'll wait to see if PS4 ends up looking like a George forman before i judge the loser

but it does look like vcr hopefully not as big as one

And I thought the console couldnt get any worse. Are they that money hungry. What was wrong with the xbox 360 sale figures? A huge success for the company and that didnt have this code and no rental crap. I can understand stopping the modding scene but ffs why does the legit customer have to suffer?

The slot for the blu-ray is 12cm. Extrapolating that to the rest of the console and you have somewhere in the region of a 28-30 width and 6-8 cm height that makes it the marginally larger than the current Xbox 360. Far from huge.

If you're installing the games, it should be fine, I'd imagine. My 360s is relatively silent, once the game is installed.
