I don't know what they can do. I think medical stuff needs to be in writing to establish a proper record of what's going on. I do know I'll be ringing the hospital every hour until my therapist gets the letter.
You're dead right. Just keep at them so they get sick of you and do it ASAP to get you out of their hair :p

Went for my blood tests this morning. Nurses are so much more gentle with needles than phlebotomists. I thought she was trying to saw off my arm

I hate nurses that can't take blood! One time a nurse didn't take the needle out of my arm and use me like a dart board as she usually does, no instead she moves the needle around inside my arm. It was excruciating.

    This. Icecream. Is. Incredible.

I've got that before when giving blood. Not nice at all.

I'm off out for lunch with one of the girls. Spoilt so I am :)

Aw man. I'm so run down. Wrecked...glands totally swollen..cough. First time feeling run down in about 6 months! Too much "partying" over the weekend :/

Went to the orthodontist today hoping to get my top braces off. Didn't get them off...but in six weeks I'm getting my top AND bottom ones off! :D

Everytime I get blood taken I faint. Hate it! Don't find needles/blood scary or anything ...I'd say it's just because of fasting.
It was dry socket. Only one of my sockets was sore - the others never hurt much at all.
Bleugh, I had that last year. Horrible! Worst pain ever.

Wow, must stop replying to all crappy medical related stuff...I'll never feel better! :P

My parents just came home from a weekend away for their anniversary. The first thing my mum said to me was 'Why is the immersion on?'. The second thing was 'Did you walk the dog?'. No hello or anything.

Only just home and I can't wait to leave again.

Looking into at Masters degrees to do part-time (would like to work as well, even part-time so that I don't end up too horrifically in debt). Scary as shít but slightly exhilarating too. My primary degree isn't going to cut it any more, need some more qualifications. Pondering whether to stay in an area related to my field, or strike out in a new direction.

Anyone have any experience of changing career direction in this way?

I'm looking at the same, and am hitting walls left right and centre as far as qualifying for them goes... my 2.2 doesn't seem to be good enough, or is in the wrong field completely...

That's like my family. Knowing everyone was busy so I say "We were out of milk, bread and ham so I picked some up from the shop" only to get a response of "Where's that €20 you owe me?" Is a "thanks" so hard?

I got a half a response from the doctor's office. That the doctor hasn't even dictated the letter after two months doesn't seem to be an issue and that there's a six month wait for their outsourced typing service to even type up the letter is just something I have to put up with. When I asked them what I'm supposed to do about my medical treatment they just referred back to the delay with the typing service. Apparently medical care is irrelevant, it's all about waiting for typing.

Gah. Just heard that a guy who has been here for 2 and a half weeks as an interim member of staff is writing a report about how our department works. He's also very glad we're getting a male member of staff. This department has been built on the hard work of females and yes, having a man would make it easier in this hugely patriarchal society but how can someone who has never even been in our office to see how the department works say that. I am so:mad:

They have an outsourced typing service??? But I thought there were loads of clerical assistants in the HSE? Madness.

It sucks. You feel like you're constantly in debt no matter what you do. My dad is great, it's just my mum. I paid my college fees the last two years and I'm saving to do the same next year. They pay my rent but I fund everything else on less than €100 a week, including weekly savings. But apparently I'm still eternally indebted to them, according to her. Yet they're funding my sister's 6th year holiday in July

I can't decide on wheter to pick up my CBT for Dummies book and finish reading it or to crack open Stephen King's "On Writing". I want to read something but I'm spoilt for choice between my Kindle and my hard copy books.
I also want a latte and someone to dictate my fiction ideas to. I want to write but I also kind of don't. I feel very muddled today- y'know when the sky is overcast and you just find yourself lacking in things to talk about?
    Mergh. I dunno.

Nuuuh. I want cake. I'd murder a slice of Black Forrest Gateux right now but I've been reasonably good today so I won't throw that away. I have some Lindt chocolate truffles tucked away in the back of the fridge as a treat so I'll stick with them.
Right now, I'm doing a spot of writing. It's not really a first draft or anything- just a bit of character interaction and plotline planning really. Even so, I'm enjoying it so far.

Getting very familiar stomach pain back and praying that its not the same as it was in March - don't think I can hack it!

I made really yummy spicy fish noodle soup for dinner from a recipe card I picked up in the fishmongers last week. So good but I was a bit too enthusiastic with the chilli!

Exams starting tomorrow, I really wish I could bring myself to care. I'm feeling so 'meh' about it. I'm hoping it's just an end of semester, ready for the holidays type of thing.

I also got an e-mail saying I was successful at the interview I did last week for the Temp Clerical Officer job! So happy! Hopefully I'll be offered a position for the summer and my money worries will be over, will be such a relief to know I have the money together for college fee's next year!
