Just noticed that the guy who finished 2nd overall has Lukaku on his bench. He only finished second by 3 points as well - must be sickened

I finished 307th in the world overall and third in the Boards League.

Would you believe I used my last transfer to sell Lukaku for Sturridge. Really hope I'm not the only one to do this! Sickened. :( What might have been if I had got rid of anybody else...

Still very happy with my final score. Congrats to iMuse our Boards champion. I think SlickRic has finished in second place? If so, congrats to you mate.

Been a very enjoyable board to check into and I've found many posts helpful. Roll on August!

was anyone in any free leagues with monthly prizes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭unkymo

    2130 points, 42k.

I'm delighted! My 5th year playing but my 2nd year taking it seriously. My previous best finish was 1913 points, 380k.

It could have been a lot better though. After GW12 I was ranked 1.2 million and was way off the pace.
First 12 Gameweeks I had an average of 44.
The rest of the season my average was 61!

gubille royle. £50 prize every month.

Well I hit my 55 average target again so in that way I'm fairly satisfied with my fpl 2012/13 season even though I was well off the pace in my main mini league. Finished 10th in that although there wasn't much between 4-10. Won the monthly league so not too bad. 2105 points with 61197 ranking overall. Thanks for all the feedback throughout the season. Until August 17th...

Finished 3,805 with 2,256 points. Won both my leagues, one of which has me 100 quid richer, so delighted. Thanks for all the good information and advice over the year.

finished 5500 dropped 1600 places this gameweek due to my miserable 40 pts. I have 3 top 8k finishes in the last 4 years but have never finished higher than 1100 thats the aim for next year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,790 ✭✭✭Benimar

Finished in 1,673rd, my highest ever finish. It was also my highest position of the season.

Won both money leagues I was in and finished in the Top 20 on Boards.

    Can't complain :D

Just inside 3,500. Highest position of the season too. Happy as Larry.

if only Walcott had scored his sitter for me :(

nah, very well done. a stellar performance.

    i'm delighted with 2nd and 2348 points.

the key was a good start. fell a bit February - March with some silly knee-jerk decisions, but made up for it with some decent decisions in April and May. not jumping on City attackers was quite key in the end :D

anyway, really enjoyed the season and some of the fun in here. next season I'll find out if I was a one season wonder :pac:

Finished up with 2,221 pts for 8,541st world wide. 1st in main money league and 3rd in the other. Happy with that as this was only my 2nd season playing, and first that I was aware of Fiso and on here (and only then from Oct/Nov time). Also was away for my Jan wildcard so made a balls of that. High points were having Michu from the start, and getting Suarez in the day he scored a hatrick v Norwich (which won me the monthly prize in The Panel league).

Agree with whoever was saying you should be in the top 10k if taking it seriously. Will be targeting top 7.5k next year.

Cheers to all the posters on here, some really good opinions being shared which is very useful.

    Took both my money leagues.

The big one was won on the last day by a point. I was only aiming for top three after a terrible start. Plus it's the first time I've led that particular league this season. :)

Finishing inside top 25k as well. Happy with that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,996 ✭✭✭✭billymitchell

Finished about 5k mark, pretty disappointed considering I was top 1k up until about week 35, played my wildcard stupidly and it all went pete tong after that

For a casual player, I am delighted with this years result. I always start off horribly, but to finish so well inside the top 100k is a major achievement for me :)

Also, finished 174th on Boards.ie - my best finish yet!

576 in world, absolutely delighted, would have been about 350 if didn't make the last minute decision to play Maloney and bench lukaka yesterday! Won all my money leagues and The Panel league, also finished in top 10 of both last word and off the ball leagues which was good. There is a serious standard in the boards league, i finished 5th in the Boards FSA league. Roll on next year.

One interesting thing I noticed was the overall winner played his wildcard in week 2 despite getting off to a very strong start in week 1! Something to keep in mind for next year.

Fair play to iMuse that won the boards league. They also won the DoneDeal league and the prize is Match tickets, flights & accommodation for 2 people*

They also came second in the Limerick leader league and i think they get a TV for that

getting your team right early is paramount; it can't be underestimated what a difference it makes.

Wanted to finish somewhere between 131st and 133rd in the Boards league and I've managed to finish 132nd, happy days

Agreed, if I am not happy with at least 80-90% of my team, I wildcard in GW3-4. This year has been the first where I got it almost perfectly right in GW1.

i think i was happy with 8 or so out of my 15 players after GW 2. i was about 4,000th in the world.

i wildcarded and never looked back. it got me up to as high as 45th at one stage, and without it I don't think I'd have finished as high as I did.

So 3 out of the last 4 seasons have been relatively successful. This season had a few blocks of very poor GWs where I was ranked outside the top 1million for the GW, worst of these was GW27-GW32 and I dropped from inside the top 10K to 32K, made some very poor decisions in transfers and captain choices. Also had 2 good periods, GW 21-26 and GW33-GW38, where every decision seemed to work out.

On the FFS Hall of Fame my career ranking has me at 273 (http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/hall-of-fame/career/) Interesting tool to compare your totals over the years, hopefully once 06/07 drops off I should improve more

Dropped a place to 6554 after the WBA assist change

I ended up 25th in the world. I only entered a few money leagues this year as I was a bit lazy. I'll have to enter the boards league next season as ill probably be kicked out of my mates leagues :(
