I remember reading on the R* site, that it was a 5 month delay that brought it back to Sept., so that means that they had it pegged for an April release!

Sickened to think that I could've been playing it for a month already :pac:

Does anyone think that R* will break with tradition and actually show some in game footage of the game, before it's released?

At least he has a proper controller :-) :-) . As someone who owned a 360 before getting a ps3 two years ago I'm very nostalgic about the 360 controller. I didn't know these even existed. Now that I do though, it has suddenly jumped in at the top of my wishlist!!

I feel just as passionate as you do about the Xbox360 controller.

One thing I'd like is if cops wouldn't necessarily arrest you for everything. Let's say you have a minor fender-bender with a cop. I'd like it if there was an option to just stay parked and the cop would get out and give you a ticket and deduct $100 from your money...

I know that's probably not something many people would go for, but I think it'd help make it more realistic in a good way. Like, it's a bit mad that if you hit a cop he'll try to arrest you at gunpoint or start shooting like. :P

Mafia 2 had something very similar, though I think it was more of a pay off.

I remember that in Mafia, you would get chased for speeding and had the option of stopping to pay the fine or escalating the issue by trying to run. That game was trying to achieve something different though IMO.

Most the crimes you'd come under the attention of the police in GTA are guns drawn types of crimes. As this is modern America it's not totally out of character for the police to have their guns out at the slightest provocation.

I always go out of my way to escalate the issue while playing GTA.

Fair point I guess. I suppose I just wanted the option to be able to pay for minor stuff on the street (maybe a bribe system?) rather than either a) getting arrested b) getting shot or c) having to run. It's a particular pain when you're in a not necessarily fast, but nice car and you end up half destroying it in a police chase. :P

I'm sure if the game was set it Ireland you could have some sort of bribery/conviction quashing system ?

One thing I miss from Vice City was the Malls/Shopping Center's , there was nothing more fun then going in guns blazing to see how long you could survive. Mall's were great, you had your weapons, food, clothes, you could steal the prize car and drive around the mall, or just go on an out an out rampage!

Would love to see something like that in V!

I agree, with would be a nice immersion feature as well that's easy to skip by just speeding away.

Am I the only one worried about the scale of Los Santos in terms of comparison to the map ?

Honestly from the screenshots so far, it just seems to be downtown, Venice beach we've been shown. It barely looks that much bigger than Algonquin in GTA IV.

If this is coming out on PS4 I'm buying one no questions asked! I'm sure it'll be on PC so can't image it'll be much of a stretch to bring it to the PS4 and next xbox

I'm predicting that the PC, PS4 and Infinity releases will coincide in Mar-Aug 2014 with the first expansion pack (ala TLAD) bundled in.

Probably wrong, but I needed a grand prediction for my 8000th post. :pac:

Do you not think it's just going to come out in November with the next gen consoles? From what I hear the next consoles are basically just PCs anyway, so I imagine it won't be so difficult to get them to run on them.. plus the delay of the game itself could be an indicator of it.

I think if that were the case they'd have announced it already tbh. They've gotten some **** for not having a PC release announced, I can't imagine them taking the negative PR if they were going to release it that soon...

But maybe once the Infinity is revealed on Tuesday they'll swoop down with next gen, who knows?
