Yes because I'm going to waste time and money to carry around another gadget with me...the whole point of these games ate to be able to play them on the phone.

    Remote for VLC:

I installed this app this evening on my SGS2. However, I've been unable to get it working for me? I've tried entering the IP address and the Port but to no use.

Does anybody have any experience with this app and advice on how get it working correctly??

This has probably been covered already but Im looking for a decent free navigation app, google maps is very good but the voice commands go through you they're so robotic. .

The reviews read well but just a tad pricey for me. I only want it for casual use but at the same time it needs to be some way decent. Thanks for your suggestion though. .

Just use Google navigation. Voice commands are usually boring.
Can be changed to male or female, and I'm sure there other voices that can be downloaded.

Osmand is free but I think you are limited to downloading 16 maps. I use every time I'm on holiday. There is a bit of a learning curve to get the most out of it but in general for a free map app it does the job well. Two negatives I would say is that it can be a bit slow to render the map when you zoom in/out and it doesn't look as nice as a navigation app you pay for. It is getting better with every update so I'd say they are going to start outright charging for it soon even though it is classed as 'opensource'?

Apparently Facebook are buying it for a billion or thereabouts so it must be pretty decent. Sounds like a great idea... anyone have any experience using it in Ireland?

I only use it once or twice a year, but it's handy and good. Especially in 're routing road accidents and road works.

Cheaper than buying an actual Sat Nav and its always with ya

Not without rooting I think . How much volume do ya need? Most phones have enough.

Hate when ya have some one walking around or on the train with music up so loud that the whole carriage can hear it...

It's more for walking on the street really, where background noise can be quite high.

Better headphones could be what you're looking for instead, what are you using now? (Dont say the little buds that came with the phone...)

I just have a set of urBeats headphones that came with the One X. Does the job, no background noises. Also used to use Stock ones from Samsung and they were OK. Only time where I heard background noise is with on ear or over ear headphones that don't have noise cancellation.

oops only seeing this now, try VLC (its in Beta at the minute)

Google music was what i was also gonna recommend as its louder than winamp for example

Also Swiftkey is down to €1.99 for whoever hasn't got it

Wow, uninstalled Play Music a couple of months ago but got sick of Winamp recently so reinstalled it there, what a complete and utter mess they've made of it, its now completely unusable for anything except random shuffle for all your tracks. Also it doesnt seem to let you delete tracks, there are plenty of people wondering about it online and none of the solutions work.

Is there any music player or widget with decent lockscreen controls?
