In hindsight perhaps it was to do with his hope to retire after winning the title at the end of the season, very good chance a few years back he would have rested him more

I think you are spot on there. When I sold RVP before CL game against Madrid I checked back what Fergie had done in times gone by and the likes of ronaldo, Rooney had been rested. Luckily for me rvp had a dip in form as I was fairly sure he would be rested much more than he was. Again I sold him before last weeks game as I was sure other players would get a run out, thats all up in the air now and sunday will be a nervy day.

    4/11 to score anytime
8/5 to score 2 or more.
of course those odds are on the preumption he plays 90 minutes.

6/1 to get a hat trick, might be worth a fiver for you just incase :D

if i keep mata i'm going to back cazorla to score 2 or more
if i sell mata and he starts i'm going to back him to score anytime.
Just as a bac up incase my decision goes against me FF wise.

Well Laudrup reckons he is going to wait and see!

Brought in Mertesacker for Zabaleta. Pretty boring transfer but I'm 18 points ahead in my main league and just want to see it home now. Hopefully Mata will start tomorrow, if he doesn't he better not come on for a few minutes. I Captained Walcott purely on the basis that they are at home to Wigan and Bale was anonymous the other night against Chelsea.

Coutihno better score big this weekend, anyhow I'm reasssuring myself with the thought that Swansea have nothing to play for and I doubt Michu will do anything if he does play.

Those odds are slightly wrong, he's about 4/7 to score anytime. 2's to score two or more. I remember the last time I was sweating RVP not to score when he was those same odds. That was not a good day. Bale and Walcott are both about even money to score.

It amazes me that more are not going with RVP, there's nothing to say he won't play the full 90.

They were the odds when i checked paady power earlier.

4/9 with them now to score anytime and 2/1 to score 2 or more.

You saved my gameweek with a hit last week so if you feel it, I won't argue

10 points hits in the last 4 weeks has seen my rise from obscurity...but what in the name of all that is Mickey Turner did you make 4/5 transfers for this week? Who did you go for you gloriously rebelious man? That's a mini wildcard

    Wildcard B!tches :pac:

Is Carragher guaranteed 2 games given his retirement plans?

Thinking of bringing him in for Zabaletta. Has the potential to backfire though.

Wouldnt be too worried about Michu this weekend in all honesty. Swansea are gonna lose comfortably.

Might backfire but is Zabaletta guaranteed 2 games? I think not.

Well this is it. I think he'll be lucky to get 90 minutes over the next 2 weeks.

    Options are:

    Zab to Carragher/Jones
    Cazorla to Walcott
    Mata to Lampard
    Kone to Lambert

    Or save my transfer.

Have Zabaletta too, with such choice at city, hard to see him getting 2.

    Barring injury he'll play both

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

FFS scout don't have Mata in their starting 11, i know it's only a prediction but still unsure if i should bring in cazorla at a 4 point hit, the annoying thing is that about 15 minutes after the gw deadline i'll hear if mata starts or not. will leave my decision as late as possible in the hope that there's rumours on twitter.

Sorry should have quoted ... Carragher..

    Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.

Also, what's the chance of him taking a penalty if they get one or am I pushing my luck here.

Thinking a defenders featuring in 2 boring games with nothing to play for might be the way to go.

Doubling up on Arsenal midfielders sounds risky and will suck if Mata plays and does well.

Rodgers said today that he plans to rotate although I'm sure Carra will play both games.

That said, he may not have a full strength 11 with him which could be a factor in clean sheets.

    1,000,000%

If Liverpool get a penalty, the Kop won't let anyone else near it :D

He scored the winning penalty in the 2001 League Cup final shootout, so he might even score it as well

Unlikely very unprofessional unless they are 3 up late on

Only 2 gw left you don't have to plan ahead Arsenal have the best fixture this week. I don't expect mata to start tomorrow

There's plenty of talk about RVP but what about Fergie's other golden boy Ryan Giggs? He'd certainly be a differential and could well play both games?
