I went with Cazorla and Michu to Walcott and Gerrard (-4p).

I'm currently 4th in my ml and 5p behind 3rd and 22 behind 2nd. I'm going to captain Stevie G cos I need some difference to catch up those main rivals.

just went with Michu to coutinho now that he's safely through his match, i chose him over gerrard because he seems more influential in attack and it also leaves me with enough to switch anichebe to sturridge for the final week. he could still get injured in training but if that slim possibility happens I'll just bring in Maloney v arsenal from my bench.
Just wanted it done early because i've spent way too much time thinking of it the last couple of weeks.

if any of my players in the tuesday or wednesday matches gets injured/suspended i might look at a 4 point hit, in fact if chelsea beat spurs i might consider a 4 point hit to bring cazorla in for mata given how likely he'd be to miss at least 1 of the last 2 games that are either side of the cup final.

Also unsure what to do about RVP, united seem to be on their holidays already and after the rotation yesterday i'd expect he could be on the bench v swansea, but because it'd cost me 4 points to get rid of him i think i'll keep him, he could still score coming off the becnh v swansea but more importantly there's absolutely no-one jumping out at me to bring in, chelsea/city both look like their seasons are over too, spurs rotate strikers and neither are in good form, arsenal have a great fixture but podolski only plays 65 minutes or so and i think could be dropped after saturday in favour of walcott upfront and in any case giroud will be back for the last match. sturridge is a good shout but i have a plan to bring him in for the qpr game.
Lambert is probably the best shout with sunderland away and stoke at home but he hasn't scored in 5 and i'd need him to score at least once just to cancel out the 4 point hit, so would need 2 goals to gain points and that's assuming RVP only gets a 2 or a 1, the possibilty he could start against a terrible swansea side means i'll keep him and have just wasted your time reading this but typing it helped me reach my decision :)

fellaini is at home to fulham and is back playing in an advanced role, i'd keep him, certainly not worth a hit to get rid of him.

Everton have West Ham and Chelsea last two games, not easy.

I am selling Michu and Fellaini for Walcott and Coutinho for -4

for those 2 he probably is worth getting rid of but if you could afford the walcott move this week without selling fellaini i'd keep fellaini for the home game to fulham and then bring in coutinho next week for his home game to qpr, would save you a 4 point hit and you could gain from fellaini this week.

But your call, i got rid of fellaini last week myself for maloney and got coutinho in this week for michu.

Good plan. not keen to get rid of Fellaini tbh. There may be a rotation risk with Mata and I only have two strikers so I really need 5 midfielders. Think I will take your advice, thanks.

Liverpool defender id recon good fixtures carragher maybe

carragher has been a great signing for me 6 clean sheets from the 9 games ive had him. With him due to retire I can see gerrard allowing him take a peno if liverpool get one particularly at home to qpr.

Enrique for me too. I got him in for the DGW and he has really delivered since then.

Those minus 2 points could end up being crucial :pac: but no seriously I've had Enrique in since the end of January and he's been a great addition. He's nearly a no brainer every week and while his attacking points have slipped he's still a threat. If I'd known Carragher would play at that time I probably would have brought him in instead, after that Swansea game!

ha ha very true. He did end up taking a peno for england in one of their penalty shoot out losses and scored only to be ordered to retake it and then missed.

Any idea on who to get in for Michu?

    Midfield at moment-
    Bale
    Walcott
    Countinho
    Hazard
    8.8M to play with

Opponent (5 points behind me) has-

    Bale
    Nasri
    Michu
    Sissoko
    Maloney

Heads up to those that are thinking about Gerrard for the last 2 weeks. He may be undergoing shoulder surgery, sounds like too much of a risk for anyone to bring him in.

I would go with Fellaini. Played off Anichebe on Sun so should surely do same vs West Ham. Would be a strong candidate for transfer GW38 though.

Or else Arteta, away to New more favorable than Everton's last game away to Chelsea.

5 points is nothing, I personally would not be looking at opponents team to negate, but seeing as you have the team up I suppose you have been thinking Nasri! (actually not a bad shout anyway, he has played 90 mins in last 4 games. The question is will he play FA cup final and then Reading 4 days later?)

Thanks for that. I was at the game on Sunday and have to say he did look to be struggling with it. Also, I thought quite a few of the Liverpool players didn't look up for it, game had quite a subdued feel to it. Given that it now looks like Everto will finish higher, then I would be wary of trusting any Liverpool players over the last 2 gameweeks for motivational reasons. And if Gerrard was missing as well, then those concerns would be increased.

All of y'all who have made your transfers already, you are a scourge on those who do things the sensible way!!!

sometimes by doing things "the sensible way" you lose out cos of price rises and falls

There is 1 more week left after this. Unless you literally can't sign the player you want because of the price rise or fall, how much does it really matter?

What are the chances of De Gea playing the last few games?

I need to shift him but its gonna cost me a 4 point hit.

So mid-price midfielders to replace Michu.

Walcott would be ideal but don't have the cash.

At the moment I'm contemplating Johnson or Ben Arfa. Both playing for teams with a lot to play for, though that rarely translates into a sack of goals. Both have decent fixtures.

    QPR v Newcastle
    Sunderland v Southampton

Ben Arfa is just back from injury. Picked up 2 BPs last week in a nil all draw.

He will play on Sunday. It will be his first league title. Lindergaard was given the second last home game but I'd be AMAZED if De Gea does not get the last one

Im going to do michu to cazorla he is the 3rd highest mid in the game and has a great fixture against a tired wigan that cant defend 3 days after the cup final. Granted he is not consistent more of a 2 2 3 2 15 2 2 3 12 type player. Hopefully he chooses Wigan for one of his double digit scores.

Liverpool have now confirmed that Daniel Agger will miss the last 2 games as well for treatment on his back. Would have serious concerns with their motivation over the next 2 gameweeks.

I'm considering Ben Arfa in for Michu. Newcastle really need to put in one or two good performances to pull clear of Wigan.

What position is he playing now that he's back?

Looked fat against West Ham . I'd considered him myself that put me off though .

Ben Arfa gets relegated every season. He is just full of fail.
