Have Hart, Tevez, Lukaku, Kone and Maloney tonight. Lets blow this thing wide open tonight Wigan :D

I have Tevez, Aguero, Clichy and Maloney tonight.

Like a lot of people, not confident of how many of my City contingent will start!

It's Clichy/Zabaleta that I'd worry about. City have 8 fit defenders to choose from :(

Benitaz gives encouraging news on Hazard.

Benitez Press Conference: Hazard back in squad for Spurs clash. Bertrand and Mikel out, Romeu could return.

    Exactly.

I'm sure their 'first choice' back 4 (whoever they are) will start the cup final so I'd guess some of those will be rested tonight. I just don't know if Clichy or Zab are likely to start the cup final. Zab I'd feel will. Clichy I have no idea!

On 79 at the moment with quite a few left to play (hopefully)
Hart, Zab, Tevez / Maloney, Kone
    Mata / Vertonghen, Bale, Lennon

Anyone know the latest on Lennon?

Not really that encouraging though. Back in squad means he may only be fit for 25 minutes at the end.

If he trained today and is in the squad Id fully expect him to start. The worst thing to do is have an injured player come on as sub and have to come back off. I reckon he will either start or not be involved at all.

Zabaleta has been captain in a few games this year and is first choice right back so he will definitely will.

I'm just bearing in mind this is the same Benitez played down his injury last week after the game and he then wasn't even in the squad Sunday.

Zabeleta will definitely play in the cup final but it is quite likely that he will miss tonight and Reading next week as a result, I thought long and hard about city defensive coverage for this week but decided it wasn't worth the trouble as clean sheets are impossible to guarantee and as someone said there are 8 very good players for 4 positions, with little at stake there has to be tinkering, even if it wasn't Mancini in charge.

Rafa said he was ok but didn't want to risk him in the United game ahead of the Spurs match tomorrow night.

Great news! Means Sagna will come in for me. Currently I have 0 points from the 3 defenders I started, Ridgewell, Bertrand and Hangeland so I'll gladly take anything I can get. Sagna's 6 in the hand is better than hoping Bertrand keeps a cleanie!

This has been a terrible week purely because of no defender points despite all the clean sheets!

don't ever try to read into anything Rafa says about squads, or indeed anything he says to the media.

everything should be with a pinch of salt as he gives away very little to them.

Hoping for Hart, Clichy and Tevez to all start. Would be very very big for my season with such little time remaining.

genuinely, i think your only risk is Clichy.

Hart and Tevez are nailed on IMO, unless Mancini wants to give Pantillimon a tune-up before the weekend.

I'm not confident enough about any of the 3, Hart for the reason you quoted, and Tevez because he might still be starting at the weekend.

Clichy defo the biggest risk though.

Ok so looks like Lennon (and Dembele) have been included in the squad for the Chelsea game. That's a start...

Can't find the dislike button...no Aguero or Clichy.

No McAuley for West Brom, is good for my private league.

I'm also wondering how Craig Dawson (who I've never heard of) will deal with City's strikers.

Absolutely I can see the midweek team being Hart Richards Lescott K Toure Kolarov Garcia rodwell tevez Dzeko and 2 of todays team.

The secrets out im roberto mancini.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,748 ✭✭✭Swiper the fox

Need Tevez to score a flukey hat trick without playing himself into the team for the Cup final, it'd be great if he played against Reading next week also.;)

Then I hate you (for not playing Aguero, or Clichy).
