GTA V Pre-release Discussion - ***DO NOT POST SPOILERS*** (Mod warning in first post)

New screenshots look very jagged... really poor quality compared to previous ones. Shocked anyone can say they're good looking (I'm assuming they're more along the lines of what the actual graphics will look like, but still a massive drop from previous screens).


Was thinking about this game earlier today. Hope I'll start to get a bit more excited and wound up by it. I enjoyed having something (gaming-wise) to look forward to. Hopefully a steady influx of information, trailers and screens will keep appearing over the coming months (though I think the best thing they could do is, as soon as the game is done, bring the release date forward. September is still too far away, in my opinion).

With the three trailers and new 'previews' (if you could call them that :rolleyes: ) it seems like they want to start building the hype again, but a four month wait, after their previous nonsense, just kills it for me every time. A July, or even August release, would be great. At least it'd look like they're doing us a favour.


The three new trailers were good. Music was a letdown though. Queen for Michael was genius and blended in brilliantly, but the other two were completely forgettable. Trevor Should've had some Creedence Clearwater Revival or some other such tune that'd stick in your head as much as Radio Gaga does/will (Bad Moon Rising would've been great for his trailer, in my opinion).

Rockstar usually pick excellent music for their trailers, (though Stevie Wonder's Skeletons was sh*te) so I hope they start to get their act together again in that regard. I think all of the IV trailers had me humming music for days on end that I'd never even heard of before. The original V trailer (Ogden's Gone Nut Flake or whatever it was called) was stuck in my head for months (literally). Never heard it before the trailer and it was greatly done with the trailer.


That's my little rant for the day, anyway.


Anyone else finding it a little disappointing that, not only are we not seeing any new city, but we're not seeing anything that even really hints at their being more city? In all the screenshots it looks a little on the small side. Whatever about the country side (which will inevitably become a novelty) after a while the city itself is where you're bound to spend most of your time. It's not looking as large as you'd hope.

In all of the trailers/screens, we can see things from other trailers/screens. So either they're intentionally keeping everything within a small radius of each other, or the city just isn't going to be as impressive as I'd hoped it would be


Great to see they've updated the Police cars lighting effects and such though. A small thing, I know, but it was one of the things that wrecked my head (to the extent that I emailed them over it, along with god only knows how many people on GTA Forums). Delighted to see they've decided to update it all a bit.
