Today I started rebuilding a Bandit with my dad. Have a '02 one that the forks were snapped off, and an old '96' one that we're pulling parts off. Nice little project. Already running into problems though, we can't find the front wheel :P Started sorting out the forks tonight, replaced the rolling bearings with tapered bearings, and then had to file the threads on the bottom fork yoke because they were completely fúked.

    Main bits still to do:
Find the front wheel, top fork yoke and clocks.
    Buy new handlebars.
Fit all of the above. :P

New tyre and pads fitted. Fixed a little hole in a pannier too. Ordered a top box from ebay last night so expecting that next week.

Givi pannier rack and 2x Kappa boxes got delivered today from a sound fella on sv-portal. He didnt need them anymore and sold me them. Handy since the pannier rack isnt made anymore.

Im debating spraying the bottom of pannier boxes candy blue.

Cleaned front brake calipers on the bandit. The right one seems to be seizing. Gonna have to fork out for a rebuild kit, but I think it can wait till the pads need doing as well, which will be in a month or two.

They look fcuked. The Pistons most definitely are, cleaning them will lead to pitting they are so bad.

Take the pistons and seals out and see if it's just those that need replacing. It could be the whole caliper, but I wouldn't use the bike with the brakes in that condition.

If you've never rode with a top box fitted you might find the bikes handling feels a little vague and the front a little light.

Not today, but yesterday ~ service, including final drive oil change, alternator belt replaced and bled/replaced the brake & clutch fluids.

Stripped checked and rebuilt swingarm on the PW80
Removed autolube tank and drained it of whatever muck was in it from before.
Refit and fill with full synthetic.
    Checked autolube pump.
    Stripped cleaned and rebuilt carb.
Checked airfilter, foam crumbled in my hand so made a new one out of foam and oiled it.
Checked rear cush drive and sprocket carrier, regreased bearing in sprocket carrier.
Drained gearbox oil, was dirty, refilled.
Lubed all cables and brake pivots.
Stripped old seat cover and fitted new one.

Still have to fit fuel filter and decarbon exhaust and check topend for carbon.
C&S should be in tomorrow, fit those as well.
