One Hundred Years From Now

As time moves on, we realize that what we took for normal was just strange. Less than a hundred years ago, doctors were advising people to use heroin, coca-cola contained trace amounts of cocaine, there were many strange and unusual contraptions that people would use on a regular basis.

One hundred years from now, what will people look back at and wonder, "what the hell were they doing?"?

You've got to back that statement up with some factual links, otherwise a pointless post, oh hold on this is AH so may be pertinent.

I think one hundred years from now water will be a pretty valuable commodity, and the folk then won't be able to fathom how we wasted it, polluted it, and (almost) got it for free.

Water will be the new oil I believe. Countries will fight wars over water reserves.

Eh, if we last another hundred years we'll probably have fully functioning fusion power, at which point de-salinating water becomes fairly trivial.

In on hundred years they'll wonder why we didn't use hydrogen cell power for our cars that is commonplace then.

The they'll have that collective *ah* moment and remember the discovery of the Illuminati at the highest echelons of society. People will wonder how we did not see it sooner, I mean hello Taylor Swift did where red at the VMAs. :p
