You had better tell Boston police commissioner Ed Davis that because he is saying otherwise.

A lot of conflicting reports but the FBI just said that there was only 2.

Probably why they have made numerous calls for all photographs and videos to be sent to the FBI. Who ever is responsible must have been there shortly before they detonated and eerily, in this day and age, has inadvertently been captured by a pro or amateur photographer or on video.

FBI and law enforcement were into all local businesses getting the footage ever before all the victims were taken to hospital

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick says no unexploded bombs were found at the Boston Marathon. He says the only explosives were the ones that went off Monday.

That was from the latest Press Conference.

The FBI are going to have some amount of data to go through. Imagine all the people who must have taken photos and video on top of all the official media coverage.

I watched the press conference - he said that there was only two. FBI also said that there was only two devices, but due to a large number of packages and bags, they had to do a complete sweep of the area, and there was a huge number of suspicious devices called in, but it was confirmed that only two devices.

Watching BBC going through other sporting figures that were attacked - this was an attack on the spectators, not the athletes. Four hours in is when most would be coming home during a marathon, hence the biggest number of spectators welcoming home their loved one.

Yes, seeing that now. FBI saying thatt previous info about the other two devices was inaccurate.

the 'unexploded bombs' idea seems to have been simply suspicios packages that were dropped by people as they ran from the carnage.

read that on one of the news sites this morning

I understand that it's not very nice to look at, but it's essential to understand what has happened. You will know the full extent of the injuries these poor people suffered. Are you linking your last sentence to people posting pictures of the injuries?

I don't have to look at the blood and gore to understand what has happened. I have been heartbroken about it since it happened and understand fully that people are left without limbs and seriously injured. Haunting me with images isn't needed as I can see them already in my head.

Yes some of the people posting such photos are doing so gleefully from what I can see.

CNN were quoting Harris as saying there were at least two other devices. Story still on their site but presume they will correct that in line with latest news.

    No other bombs were discovered.

I'm at work at the moment so can't check properly, what happened with the reports of 2 other devices found? Were they not unexploded?

Any more information about the other two people that died?

There's bound to be confusion over what happened/how many devices etc., just as there would be at any major event with rolling news channels jumping to be "first" with any bit of news.

It's exactly what happened at Sandy Hook, and was what gave all the conspiraloons erections over "ooh, they said 4, now they're saying 3 - it's a cover up!"

More likely they were some kind of controlled explosion or simply a suspicious package.

Was probably just news reports jumping to conclusions based on all the "suspicious packages" found (which were most likely just bags and stuff left by spectators running away).

It was confirmed in the press conference 45 minutes ago that no other explosive devices were found.

    Also,
Fox News are still reporting that a 20 year old Saudi male in America on a student visa is being guarded in hospital as a "person of interest".

In the press conference some official refused to confirm or deny the claims but other sources have denied it.

Can you send me a link please - the news conference last night he was saying that there were three possible bombings, but the JFK incident has been ruled out as being linked. Davis mentioned last night about suspicious packages, which is why it was being made out that there was other devices

If a bombing occurred in the U.K. - thinking that it may be an Irish based attack is not racist.

    Look at the history ffs.

"A former senior FBI agent told fox news that when you look at the video of the explosions and you see that white vertical smoke that is not inconsistent with an explosion involving TATP. TATP is a chemical explosion, it's a type of explosive, that you can put together going to a home hardware store, or even at your supermarket. This type of explosion has that vertical look with white smoke. It does not have that orange rolling flow of a traditional device, and this is the kind of material that is often used in IEDs.

Now, on that point, Fox News has obtained a bulletin that was sent out from Homeland Security and the FBI, that's pretty standard after a major event, it goes out to law enforcement, locally but also state and federal level, and it talks about Boston as highlighting the risk of IEDs. It gives several examples that it points to, all of them I will add points to overseas and terrorist organisations. But the bulletin does not draw any conclusions based on what we've seen in Boston so far.

Just being reported in Boston that the FAA says there has been some type of security incident on a US Airways plane at Logan Airport.

Confirmed - just looking at the pictures - luggage is now on the tarmac being examined by a sniffer dog. Looks like a threat that was called in

"BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Sources told FOX 25 there was an American Airlines flight that was headed to Chicago. There were two men on that plane – not sitting next to each other – and speaking Arabic.

There were some concerned marathoners on the flight so the plane was brought back to the gate and the two men were escorted off the plane.

No other details were immediately available.

I've seen planes turned around for less. Probably amounts to nothing but some racist hysteria by passengers and flight crew

Security alert in Logan has been caused by a case on the plane that was not checked in by anybody on the plane.
