I can't understand why you clicked the link, especially with the warning I included. If it's any consolation, I didn't particularly enjoy looking at those photos either.

Those are really bad, but people should see them I guess. It's the horrible reality of such things.

Scary to think that compared to the carnage caused by most attacks around the world; this is one was relatively mild in terms of fatalities.

Your right people should see reality, but I for one cannot bare to see any of them! Wouldn't be able to sleep for a month!

It looked as if her leg was actually under her body

For some people its a coping mechanism, looking through the lense of a camera means its not real, think one of those individuals was already featured on BBC. The aeriel shot showing all the blood on the pavement like red paint is very bad as well

Hospitals are putting the number of casualties together overnight, next press conference is at 9.30am local time

That is pretty full on, you should probably remove it before you get people in a state.

Make them google it if they want to see it, as has been said that's the reality of it and while it's rough, I'd rather know what really happens, god forbid I get caught up in such a situation.

6hrs on and not a word on who is to blame,I thought they would have an idea who done it or at least whispers would be going around on who is to blame, its like something out of a hollywood triller, makes you realise how lucky you are to be alive these poor people must have thought they were in zero danger for the day watching a marathon.

 You're not being forced to click the link, it's as valid a post in this thread as the majority of others.

sad to say, but we humans have a dark ghoulish curiosity when it comes to such things.

Just saw a photo online of a police officer on the roof " A police officer with a rifle watches from the roof of the Lenox Hotel overlooking the finish area of the 2013 Boston Marathon in Boston" - could explain the mystery manon the roof earlier

Piers Morgan is now on CNN and he is doing a great job reporting on the tragedy.

Think about it. Recording the tragedy is making a record of the events. Note, for instance, that on 9/11 there is no reliable visual record of a plan striking the Pentagon, which has had the conspiracy theorists in a complete tizzy ever since. Recording the events as they unfold can be considered evidence.

The other thing is, what are you supposed to do? A man's leg is blown off, for instance, and emergency personnel are at the scene. They are trained and educated on handling the triage. You are not. You could easily cause further injury in trying to help. Unless you're instructed to by emergency personnel, its usually best to stay out of the way and don't obstruct them from doing the job.

I remember being near the scene of a wreck moments after it happened. One car in the trees, another completely flipped over. Pulled over and ran to help, except there was nothing to do. 10 or so people including me huddled around the car while one or two people were actually in a position to help break the sidedoor glass with an improvised hammer and pull the driver out. Someone was already calling 911. I didn't even directly witness the accident, so I couldn't even provide a statement. There are just situations where having 3 bodies or 30 bodies will not have any noticeable difference in effect.

Oklahoma. It is a Choctaw word.

The news coverage reminds me of Sandy Hook. Just a lot of speculation to fill the air.

The wheelchair guy from earlier is in those pictures rolling around. Earlier pictures showed a guy in a cowboy hat holding up his artery.

Poor guy was standing directly beside the bomb.

That second explosion certainly seems considerably worse than the first.
