Can someone explain to me how to make a mob farmer thingy that isn't automated/ is this possible/allowed? At the moment I have 2 cave spider spawners, 2 skelly spawners and a normal spider spawner all near each other, lookin for a somewhat safe way to farm them for xp.

1. Run up to them.
2. Kill stuff.
3. Get xp.

That's pretty much it... you can improve your odds via armor and weapon upgrades, enchants and potions, but anything beyond that will be automation or exploiting, and thus bannable when applied to spawners on this server.

Fair point, was hoping for a way without risking death.

Hopefully not

Its innocence has to be proved beyond doubt before it can be restored, although there have been incidents of weirdness and No-Mobs since after it was taken down so here's hoping!

The crashes seem to be related to the no-mobs and not the dynmap. The crash logs show that the problem is TickingEntities but googling doesn't show any way of dealing with the problem.

Server acting up? I can connect, but it doesn't receive anything, and I just fall and fall till I time out? Anyone else getting this?

Bland is getting it as well but everyone else seems fine. Must be a problem with the internet in wicklow.

What is happening with the FTB server? Is it going to stay down until sometime after 1.6? Will there be a new (and due to updates, hopefully more stable) 1.4.7 world sometime before then? Or will Eloraam suddenly wake up and convince FTB to release a public Recommended 1.5.x build after all? :pac:

I could just put up a 1.4.7 ultimate server for people to play around on, with the caveat that it will be reset for 1.6? What are people's thoughts?

Edit: Also apparently Eloraam is alive.

No-one has any clue wtf is going on with FTB now that she's resurfaced XD

Wait and see if FTB do a U-turn? Elo said there wasn't too much work to be done, just a few badly borked things that needed fixing. She's never really bothered about supporting non-vanilla blocks anyway (at least not beyond Transposer compatibility anyway) so all she needs to do is fix things, add in support for Nether Quartz and the new redstone devices and she's done. Still no talk of a worldgen fix to stop bugging out Mystcraft and RP3 seems to be on the shelf still so its mostly a porting job from the look of it.
