RE Sig: I made the same mistake when I joined. It baffles me why Boards turns everything off by default.

Lads, I have some bits and pieces from an old rig that I'm thinking of flogging cuz I'm fairly cash strapped at the moment, but I've no clue on prices. I had a look on adverts, but it doesn't help a whole lot because there could be dreamers and people just selling at any price to get rid of the stuff. Any ideas on what kinda money I should be looking for on:

    2x2gb OCZ PC2 8500 gold series DDR2 ram sticks (1066mhz)
    2x2gb elixir PC2 DDR2 ram sticks(800mhz)
and AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor clocked @ 3.2ghz, with stock cooler

    ?

I'm fairly sure the DDR2 ram is worth selling for a few sheckles, but is the processor?

Thanks for any replies and apologies for the laziness of not doing my own pricing research.

Having a problem with Aurora 22.0a2, all addons are enabled but some don't seem to work, it's not the compatibility checker that's doing it, so what else could it be?

I suppose when you put such an effort into building a system for someone you want to make sure its well packaged for shipping.

    This certainly is well packaged!

That's awesome! Odds are I'm going to be emigrating this time next year, and I'm definitely using this method to ship my main rig and server.

    That's utterly manky.

And totally ironic cause I came on to search this thread for a good place to buy a can on compressed air in Dublin..:D

    Edit:

Tried a few places in Dublin today for a can of Air duster. For anyone that's looking for some, this may save you some time:

    Peats, Servisol Aero Duster 200ml - €11.99

    Maplins, Air Duster 200ml - €12 ish

    Maplins, Air Duster 400ml - €16.50

Dealz, henry St. - none in stock.

And finally, the one I got:

    RS, air duster 400ml, €12.25

The lads at Eurogamer went and tested out a 3xTitan SLI PC.

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vs-the-ultimate-gaming-pc

With all settings full blast they were able to get 43 fps for Crysis 3 at 4k resolution.

    Not bad for £4000.

So its been a week of pc gaming :D.....

My pc is holding well. I was playing planet side on high settings and getting and a stock gpu 59 to 72 frames and when it get really mad about 48. Which I think is pretty good, I don't know how to test that on other games.

But so far the cards is stock the amd 8350 is a pretty decent processor. Ive got a big job on over the next few weeks and Ill have a lot of work for it. So Ill give you a good report of how I found it, bye then Ill have an ssd in there to so I'm really interested to see how it performs with the work load. There could be 60,000 images to process so it should be interesting.
But over all it seems to be working really well I'm dead happy with the set up so far.

But some people asked about the mouse I bought

Func MS3 Its the most comfortable mouse I've ever had the pleasure of using its big its comfy buttons are good, and did i mention how comfy it was Teflon sliders help it glide nicely, Dpi settings are pretty decent. I use a mac as well i even tried to find drivers online there are none. But serously if your looking fro a mouse.. i recommend you give it a lot of thought. :)

Im over clocking when i get a decent cooler system ;)

Why crossfire over a one more expensive card?
