An entire projection reel of Midnight Express amongst other stuff in the local cinema which had been closed for years but we frequently snuck into.

We never really ventured into the upstairs projection room because the floor was way too unstable, a room beside it was full of cut, discarded reels but the entire floor was sunken in so nobody ever went in and touched them.

One day during lunch from school I was in the projection room and started sifting through the tables. Pure film-buffs dream with all the odd memorabilia and old posters packed away and then I found a steel case under some 80's Kylie Minogue posters (:pac:)

Inside it was Midnight Express (Saw the title by holding the film up to a window and checking the frames)

I put it back and said I'd collect it on the way home from school. Forgot about it but later that night I heard fire trucks (I only lived a few houses up from it). Went out and saw the entire cinema up in flames.

Some little shìts set the place on fire and burnt the entire building to the ground. Everything in it was destroyed.

On the bus I found a pack of Marlboros with a sizable lump of first class hash. Not much I know but it made my day still.

PS. If my boss reads this, it was a loooong time ago.

My Dad gave me a bundle which contained my 1st birthday cards - was lovely to see so many peoples writing that have passed - especially my Mam.

I also had one from America and we found a $2 bill that had been in it from all those years ago and just found today :)

The OH uncle found a bag with over 60000 quid in it on the side of a road. The honest citizen he was, he handed it into a garda station. The owner of the money was never found but it mysteriously vanished. We all thought it was drug money.

So some gard pocketed it and you left it at that?

From what I remember as it is a few years ago, there was some investigation but nothing ever came of it. My OH uncle is too honest for his own good and wouldn't kick up a fuss over anything.

€200 in a bed base in a house I was renting.

Previous tenant was an old man who died there... probably in bed.

    Enjoy your compensation!

While renovating an elderly couples house, I found money everywhere. The attic twice, Punts under the carpet on the stairs, under the carpet in the sitting room, on top of a t.v. Unit and a Visa card under the t.v.

I handed every cent back, there must have been over a thousand euro in all, the lady gave me €100 for being honest, she'd put it all away and forgotten where she'd left half of it.

One time I was on the East pier in Dun Laoghaire and the weather was very, very windy.

The kind of seaside weather where the wind actually knocks you off balance if you're not careful.

Anyway, I was walking back in and saw a €20 note lying in a puddle, stuck there because of the water.

By some freak chance it must have blown out of somebody's hand/purse and landed in a puddle at the edge of the pier, rather than into the sea.

It was a lucky feeling :)

Found a ring while on Oz when getting out of the water, was a big sparkler worth thousands & only new engaged meself I handed it in police cos I'd know the panic you'd feel after losing one of your most important possessions.

The owner sent me a text 'you found my ring, good on you' not even and flipping thank you!! Miserable bítch

I found a small lump of hash, loads of cigarettes and beer :) All around the one place but on three different occasions, now known as the magic spot!

Once my friend stole a jacket from a nightclub. He left it at my house for weeks and when I finally looked at it I saw there was a name and number on the tag. I rang it and arranged to meet up with the guy...he gave me twenty euro... I tried to give it back to him but he kept handing it back and eventually walked off.

Getting paid for my friend stealing jackets :/ ...sort of found :P

Found I think around 50 dollars walking into a shopping mall in the States years ago.

Did what any 10 year old would have done and bought two wrestling figures, the Rock and the Undertaker.
