OK so Bale might be back for the City game in GW34. Are people still selling him?

By selling him and transferring him back in, you are down 2 transfers that could be used for DGW players in GWs 33 and 36.

Its only one transfer if you transfer bale out for a player that has a dgw.
If i do bale to hazard and then get bale back in for santi. Ive used 2 transfers to have 2 gw36 dgw mids.Hazard and Bale.
I could just keep bale and transfer hazard in for santi in this example its one transfer to have 2 gw36 dgw mids.
Bale doesnt play the next two gws theres no way Ill be keeping him at this stage of the season.

probably not I already have santi(so thats why Im looking at hazard) as things stand santis probably the best capt choice for GW33.

Good point, would be nice to transfer someone that could be kept for rest of season with a double gameweek.

How about Silva? I know away to utd this week but these games anything can happen and could be scorefest (could also be 0-0 i suppose). Thinking more of Wigan at home GW33, and the double GW (can't remember who is extra game?)

thats exactly my point theres two doubles left the likes of city chelsea spurs will have one later on. For DGW 33 Arsenal have great fixtures Everton decent there the only teams Im looking at . I dont want wham attacking players , Utd players are too risky(have rvp) and I feel Ive missed the boat with berba and now that fulham are safe they may drop off.
With that in mind I think silva hazard etc are good shouts as they are season keepers and have 8 league games left as opposed to a lot of teams that have 7.

People are over-reacting. If Bale's injury is bad then it's correct to transfer him out but best to wait for confirmation, even if it costs you £0.1m. It could just be a badly sprained ankle, I've done it many times myself and it's the same as that replay. Looks a lot worse than it is. Spurs face Everton this weekend, then he had a blank anyway next week. The following week they face City, where Bale already drew a blank this year.

If he looks like he'll make it back for the Wigan game it would be silly to get rid IMO, unless you have a wildcard. His value will likely drop but you could still lose cash on the transfer, AND possibly waste transfers. Not saying you definitely shouldn't get rid, as mentioned above you can limit your exposure a bit. Just don't knee-jerk and get rid of one of the best players until you have all the info.

Spurs are having a cracking season and Bale will make a massive effort to get back for the City game.

I'll wait until tonight as AVB has said Bale will be assessed today so not going to panic.

If I do transfer him out,it'll most likely be for Hazard.

    AVB:

“Gareth will definitely play again this season. From the medical department’s first analysis, everything is positive."

Argh Bale's injury has thrown this weeks transfers unto chaos.

    My team currently is
    DDG
    Zabaleta, Dawson, Azpilicueta
    Mata, Michu, Bale, Santi
    Anichebe, RVP, Suarez

    Subs: Bunn, Pearce, Clyne, Marveaux

Have 0.1 in the bank and one free transfer - tell me what should I do to put me out of my agony!

I cant see him playing this week(ill wait to see what avb says) and hes no game next week thats 2 gws out of the last 7. When fit Ill bring him straight back in. Money doesnt come into my thinking anymore its a case of get as many points each week as I can. Im building towards a bale mata hazard silva michu midfield 5 for gw 36.

Pretty sure there's no chance of him featuring this week. I'll still hold on to him unless it's likely he'll miss the Wigan game.

whats your current midfield that wigan games a long way away and I know you said before you wont be selling michu.

I think having Bale and Walcott means I have to sell Bale. It's a very hefty hit to the finances though.

    Mata Cazorla Michu Sissoko Bale

    Full team here:

I'll be bringing in Fellaini after this weekend, probably for Sissoko. I play 3-4-3 so it wouldn't bother me having Bale on the bench for a few weeks. My defence is pretty strong too so wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to play 4-3-3

Bale to Lampard, simples... Then Wildcard it next week, my precious wildcard!!

You certainly have good backup in your team, but some of us don't hence I don't think there is over-reaction in getting rid of Bale

What's are the factors in Bales price going down? He's currently at -214% (on totalfpl). So when will he go down?

Use Fiso , Totalfpl haven't been right the last 2 days or so .
He'll drop tonight along with Le Fondre , Cazorla going up .

Possibly. I can just see a lot of people that could regret their decision if it turns out to be a minor injury. If an announcement will be made tonight then why not simply wait? 66,000 people have itchy trigger fingers... I would be very wary of getting rid of the best player in the game. He is second on points only to RVP (by one point), who has played every game this season. Bale has played 5 less, and was £4m cheaper!

The injury has come at a bad time though, if this had been a Tuesday match you would likely have a good idea by Friday of his prognosis. All we know for sure is he will definitely not play the next two weeks, and if he does make it back he faces City in his first game, a game he is unlikely to score big in.

strong squad if all selected, however theres a lot of things that could go wrong though and your currently carrying harte bale michu that as things stand wont play gw 33 . Dont be surprised if either zab or mata dont start in gw 33 with their league matches 3 days after fa cup semi theres a fair chance you wont end up fielding eleven in gw 33. Id feel you would get more points doing bale to fellani giving you mata caz sissoko fellani for the dgw.

Good point on Zabaleta, hadn't even considered that. I want to hold on to Zab and Michu as they are strong players and both should have a DGW in 36. I might transfer out Michu for Fellaini though, and if it looks like Im struggling to field 11 for GW33 I'll take a points hit and upgrade Harte.

I'm not sure Mata will start at the weekend tbh! Will be very frustrating if he's sitting on the bench and they are smashing Sunderland. I'm hoping Benitez realises the top 4 slot is slipping away from them so he fields a strong 11 so as not to repeat what happened against Southampton.

To be honest i dont think Benitez is too worried about the league. Why would he worry about champions league qualification for next season when he wont be the manager.

what proof is there that hes not bothered by cl qualification. He left hazard and oscar on the bench last night and took mata off on 75 mins. Chances are these 3 will start behind a front man on sunday.

7 changes against Saints last Saturday. Most pundits have said it appears he is prioritising the cups.

bib theory reckons sturridge starts at the weekend.

Great stuff, there seems to be a concensus that he is far from certain of his place no matter how well he plays this week(assuming he plays at all), some reckon he will only start at home, what do you think? You recomended that I get Hazard over Arteta and I think I will but if my plan is to let Sturridge go for Giroud next week I may consider Gerrard now, is Gerrard's position on the pitch dependant on whether Sturridge plays, ie does he play further forward when Sturridge is in the team or is it the other way round.
