    I'm not in any way saying that Rolf Harris is, but the thinking of "xxx doesn't seem the type" is exactly how so many predators get away with sexual criminal behavior for a long time. Not just in the famous cases that have come to light recently, but in general. For every case where the media jump on somebody as being a well-known sexual deviant there are far more cases of a relative/friend/trusted person has been abusing somebody.

    Again, I'm not saying Harris is a sex criminal, I'd just like to repeat that bit before I get lynched.

    Jesus is there no end to this madness. Is it more than beyond chance there was this many stars or known personalities working there that were or are alleged to be pedophiles?

    When you think of the situation, and compare it to the Catholic church, the BBC had pedophiles at the top, just like the church had. They brought their little pets with them and made them stars. It is like stealing from the people you work for, you promote the people who you can rely on.

    This is all true, but although I was surprised at some of the other arrests made, I wasn't exactly shocked. Saville certainly wasn't a shock.

    However, with Harris, it just seems totally out of leftfield. I know Paedophiles don't go around with a neon sign, but there's something about Rolf Harris being a sexual predator that just doesn't ring true with me. I can't explain it, it's just how I feel.

    I could be completely wrong of course, I'm just not sure about this one at all.

    If you demonise them you blind yourself to who they really are. And that's dangerous. Child molesters come in all shapes and forms. Some are creepy, some are likable.

    They're all scum on the inside but not necessarily on the surface.

    I know there isn't a defined type or an obvious identifying trait, but Rolf Harris? He just seems so genuine.

    I'd say to get into a position where you could molest a child requires building trust and developed people skills.

    For all we know "genuine" may even be a common characteristic attributed to child molesters before they're outed.

    Of course I'm not saying Harris is one. But he's as likely as anyone else imo.

    I do get what you're saying though, and I agree. It is a surprise to hear he's being accused.

    No need :) I was informed of said news by an Aussie, the mainstream news hasn't picked it up yet mainly due to fear of litigation.

    That said he hasn't been charged yet so we just don't know the definitive story yet.

    jesus i cant believe Rolf is involved in this- My uncle met him when he was younger as part of a comp and he said it was great-He has the pic on his wall and all

    My husband says he has a feeling that Bruce Forsithe is involved in it- he thinks at some stage he will be arrested as part of this as well (im not saying he is- im just saying what my husband thinks)

    I think its bloody terrifying in general
