Operation yewtree isn't just investigating paedophilia. Jim Davidson was arrested on suspicion of sexual assaulting two women in their 20s.

It was only a guess, we have to wait until it's finished to know what the real answer is.

Which goes for any accusations about Mr. Harris too, so that analogy actually worked out quite well. :)

The link in the OP says its part of Operation Yewtree, which is the Saville investigation.

    So kids it looks like.

It can't be Rolf Harris. Just because Rolf is the only high profile 82 year old Australian living in the UK is no reason to believe it's him. Shame on you.

has anyone gone with the "two little boys" joke yet???

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Hold the ****ing phone here... has he been found guilty of any crimes? No.

This pisses me off no end. They should keep his name outta the media until any court action. Regardless of what happens his name is now forever tarnished.

How many of us boardsies actually believe he could be involved though. All joking aside I don't think he could do it.

No, I'd be very surprised if he was involved.

Mallet actually always seemed to genuinely hate the kids on his shows. Horrible vibe off the guy.

Rolf Harris always struck me as this lovely warm old man, everyones grandad type of guy. If anything comes of this I'll be heartbroken at the deception.

If its nothing but suspicion being cast about and he's clean as a whistle, then that poor old man must be suffering terribly. :(

I'd honestly be extremely surprised if this were true. I don't know why, but Rolf Harris really never struck me as someone even remotely capable of abusing anyone.

I hope it's not true, I really do.

It's tying a Kangaroo down that I find particularly unsettling.

Only if you ask someone else to do it and their name happens to be Sport.

The lyrics of that song are just too suspect, maybe that's what the investigation is based on?!!

also one of the teachers at my old CBS who would drill it into our heads took his own life for fiddling with a student, so 'tis beyond eerie now

No, I'd be very surprised if he was involved.

Cop on, the cops in old blighty, do not make mistakes in high profile cases, they look for exposure, for their senior officers, in a good light.

People are very good at hiding who they are. He's just as likely as anyone else.

Of course it hasn't been confirmed that it's Harris and he hasn't been convicted.

It's a strange case if he is charged. You'd hope it's a mistake but there's no smoke without fire. The corruption at the BBC knows no end :(

I wasn't surprised about Saville, but Rolf Harris just doesn't seem the type. I've no doubt that the police had a valid reason to question him (and I did edit the post to include an update - that was the second time he was questioned), but he's still innocent until proven guilty.

BTW, the tread title is misleading - he was questioned, not arrested.

but Rolf Harris just doesn't seem the type.

Someone could be an all around nice person but still molest a child.

There's no identifier. Just because someone does something evil doesn't mean evil protrudes in all aspects of their lives.

If you demonise them you blind yourself to who they really are. And that's dangerous. Child molesters come in all shapes and forms. Some are creepy, some are likable.

They're all scum on the inside but not necessarily on the surface.
