Got mine today! I'm uploading data at this moment. The uploading speed is good and the program itself looks pretty well and also very easy to set. Great deal indeed

same here but what do you see this best used for ? Data you need access to in 3-5 hours and you have to modify every 2 weeks

As long as the client is active and has access to the internet you don't need to modify it every two weeks or so.

I just signed up now, 76233 ahead of me. I had to switch the user agent in Chrome to hide I was coming from a Linux machine to make it work.

In reality this is an attempt to get us all signed up to their premium service because unless you are willing to wait days with the bandwidth restriction in pace (maximum 1 Mbps upload) it will take days to upload everything to them.

Unless you are willing to pay about 2$ a month to remove that limit (and it's a yearly contract) so that it's actualy usable.

It's a nice concept but there are some other paid alternatives with low fees (like backbaze or hidrive) which offer the same with better restore options.

However if you only have a few GB and can wait long time for your backup to go to the cloud than this is a good solid alternative.

Honestly they are a business so I know if I were them I'd want people to move to the premium service but for me (and I presume a good few others) my dsl upload speed is 1mb max so the free offering works out pretty well. Always a bit worried about cloud services but as I'm only going to use it to store .exe files for rollouts its not too much of a concern. For my other stuff I'll stick with my Pogoplug.

    ...and I'm in.

Just started uploading 4.6GB of video files, average size 350Mb — I'll let you know later how long it takes on a UPC (nominally 25Mb) connection. It seems to have got through 200Mb in about 5 mins....

Edit (@19:45): Well, it's just finished uploading the second 350Mb file after 2 hours 20 mins. So you're looking at maybe 3-4 hours/GB...?

The impression I got from the ad is that the service isn't open to the public yet, that they're merely advertising it and you can sign up to be notified when it's opened.
    So maybe that's the case?
