Speeds are rubbish on this end, and many other people are in the same boat.
The premium price doesn't excite me much either, after all that. It appears that you can upload your content to Amazon's cloud for a smaller price, which I am investigating.

Ah well, it was good craic' for a few days.

got mine a few days ago and playing with it since. my verdict is that its not even worth the free price.
waste of time really. terrible upload limit. and retrieval is the biggest pain.

    .

Do you have a link to that? When I pick a 500GB storage size (zero traffic), I'm getting prices from $30 - $50 per month. The cost of ever restoring the data frightens me.

The program seems to work much better at home for some reason, I have been getting ~350KB relatively constantly since yesterday. About 15GB uploaded in that time. Its still going to take me 10 days minimum to put up all my photos though...

    +1.

I decided to use it for backing up about 65GB of photos and brought them into my workplace which has a pretty good (T1/T3?) connection, much faster for uploading than my UPC home BB.

Set it to backup and left it on. A week later I still haven't managed to get it to backup more than about 10% of the files. Every time I run "backup now" the cloud symbol gets animated for about 10 seconds and then just reverts to "Not protected. Waiting for next schedule". :(

I shudder to think what the retrieval would take...

Try it from home. It is possible that your work network is throttling the upload. T1 is max 1.5Mbps; T3 45Mbps. Your UPC home connection should be 50Mbps these days.

Agreed, his work most likely have plenty of QoS throughout the network.
But the Max UPC upload rate is 15Mbp/s?

Going by some of the reviews in here, I don't think the free storage is worth it.
