Well i'm not one to hop on the sinn fein/ULA catagory of propagandist ideology that haunts Ireland today,i wouldn't agree with the camping nor surprisingly the cut to pay.What i would like to see however would be some coherent communication between politicians and the public in a decent forum.And what better forum than in public.There is no point in politicians coming out of their hovels to doorsteps the run up to elections only to disappear for four years after.If this is the only way to hammer some sort of conscience into the representiatives today then so be it.Their policies impede on EVERYONE everyday,it's unjustified to be coy when it comes impeding on the people who have put themselves on public display to introduce the legislation that effect the majority.

You can do that though.

Clearly the gobsh1te in this video setup this whole scenario hoping for a reaction from Rabitte, hence why he brought a camera man and a bunch of yokels to cheer him on.

I've spoken to ministers in the past. Its very easy to do. I wouldn't interupt their meal, but when he had finished, you simply approach, without a hooting entourage, and say "Excuse me minister, do you mind if I take just two minutes of your time, I know you're busy, but there is something which is very important to me and I'd like you to hear it."

8/10 they'll be happy to listen to you. On some occassions they may not have the time, but they will almost always ask you to follow up with your query, and having met you in person, will be much more likely to respond.

But at the end of the day, thats not what this man and his mates wanted. They didn't want to talk at the minister. They wanted to verbally abuse him, heckell him, and provoke some kind of reaction. They were delighted that the man was arrested, so they could start on with the "peeellleeeeessee bruuueeetallliity, gard, dats bleeedin peeeleeessse bruuueetalllity so it is".

It was a staged stunt that they wanted to share on their social networks and get a bit of kudos from their fellow socialists and shinners. Its was far from an attempt to communicate with a minister.

The "protester" lost it IMO when he started ranting on about Connolly and the English running "our country". I though he was sober up until the. He was clearly a drunken idiot.

Year after year,we,de peeple, rubbed our hands with glee as successive Ministers for Finance opened Budget Day speeches with the words "I propose to remove x,000 low income earners from the tax-net"....

All historical in context now for sure,but still illustrative of the fact that WE elected these people and had the ability every 4 years to remove them,which we did not take..why?..because their policies reflected accurately what we desired..."More money for a Shorter Working Week"..."Beer and Crisps for everybody"..."Tax the Rich".

Did nobody pause to wonder what would happen after Ministers for Finance had worked their way up along the ranks of the Lower Paid,until there was nobody left earning enough to pay any tax at all ?

And now,we are equally supposed to regard ignorant buffoonery such as this loo-lah making an eejit of himself for the camera,as being up there with the Rights of Man...gimme a break

And Fat Rabbitte had huge contempt for that man, he did not care 1 jot. Do u think any French Minster would get away with treating one of their protesting nationals like that man was treated. Remember we are not a fascist country. That Rabbitte is dining at our expense, he obviously dines not wisely but too well. Unlike a lot of Irish children under the breadline who are missing meals.
