I love Superquinn sausages. They are superior to most of the others, the likes of Denny and Galtee.

This weekend I got the 'breakfast deal' which consists of a packet of the sausages, a pack of rashers and a pack of pudding for a fiver. The deal is worth it, a big fry with the stuff is heaven on a plate.

Here's the problem: I noticed the pack of sausages only had eight in it, and the label indicated the same. It used to have nine in it, a pack of eight Superquinn sausages is news to me. How long has this been going on? How much are they making with the sneaky removal of one sausage from the pack?QUOTE]

The pack says it contains 8 sausages, yoi got 8 sausages, consequently no "sneakiness" involved.
Congratulations on having made it through the economic turmoil of the last 6 years with nothing else to complain about except a sausage that clearly isn't missing at all!

I would suspect that one sausage was the one with the horse meat in it.

Imagine how many 'thanks' you'd have gotten if they could hear your dirty giggle not just read it?

They hopped of the plate and screwed the cat, if carlsberg made sausages it would be these ones.

I have never seen a pack of nine sausages it's always an even number, what good is nine sausages?there's always one left over.
Agreed & what's the story with five rashers in a pack?

FFS I hate it when there's one rasher left, everyone has two rashers per serving, make the packets even numbered you fook-wits

8 is not just a round number, sausages are often sold in 1/2lb packs or 1lb packs. Each sausage is 1 ounce, 8 oz in a half pound maybe that's a fact for that "obvious thread".

I have never understood the popularity of Superquinn's Sausages.
Probably the MSG, if you like superquinn make sure any others you try have it.
I abandoned hicks for superquinn, but after this morning's breakfast I'm going back to hicks.
I think there are 2 or more hicks brands out there.

She is also seeking various orders against Sussed Food Company Ltd, a sausage retailer trading as Hick's sausages, and Mrs Hick Ltd, a sausage wholesale company both of Lower Georges Street, Dún Laoghaire
