The Superquinn ones come in packs of six, nine or twelve. I'm going to investigate whether they are in fact a larger girth but the same weight. My theory is the pack of eight is only for the breakfast deal.

I bought them this morning, just bough saussies, none of the rest of the stuff, and they were 2.99 for 8 or €4 for 12 so it looks like it's not just the brekkie packs.

They're also not as nice as they once were
superquinn are nice but hicks of dun laoghaire are the king

I abandoned hicks for superquinn, but after this morning's breakfast I'm going back to hicks.

Their White pudding is unbeatable anyway.

How do you plan on investigating the girth? Need a hand?

i was down in kerry last august and picked up ashe's black pudding in annascaul. it was the best ive ever has and was made with real blood as opposed to blood powder.
    shame they dont sell nationwide

Yea he was probably still hungover after getting his fry up for breakfast off the wife.

Ah now here. Obviously we had fried eggs, tomatoes, potato cakes and McCambridges too, washed down with good strong mugs of tea. I'm only referring to the meat section of the fry in my first post.

Ah McCambridge brown bread, tastes like concrete, looks like concrete.

There is a suspicious trend of people hating on Superquinn who live pretty far from one, its basic jealously. They can't have what is not convenient for them to purchase so instead they spread vicious rumours about the quality of said establishment, this is a sick trend people we must stand up to these trolls,

On a sausage note, I think a few well placed comments on their facebook page could lead to the mysterious 9th Banger being replaced.

Musgraves PR working on a weekend?

So I would have to go all the way out to run laoghaire to buy these hicks?

    Ah you're missing out.

Superquinn sausages really aren't as good as all the hype that surrounds them would have you believe. They're a perfectly adequate sausage made out of rendered meat, cartilage, rusk, salt and filler. Certainly no better than the Specially Selected sausages in Aldi.

You'd think you were eating Joel Robuchon's chef's table menu the way some people go on about them.

I love Superquinn sausages. They are superior to most of the others, the likes of Denny and Galtee.

If you've only ever tried those three kinds of sausages, you're missing out. Superquinn sausages are up there with Tayto crisps as one of the most overrated foodstuffs to ever come out of this country.
