A wonderful journo with absolutely no previous history of this kind of sensationalist ****e contacted Spunout.ie yesterday to talk about teen threesomes. They gave her her interview and posted an article about it, a time ago, I believe (http://spunout.ie/life/article/threesomes).

She later tweeted that "HSE funding advice on teen threesomes telling them it can "inject serious passion n2 their bedroom shenanigans" in 2mros Sunday Independent". I haven't seen the article myself yet, but the journalist in question also claims the organization received 250k in state funding, despite being told otherwise on the phone several hours beforehand. Why does it not say engaging in three sums as a teenagers is probably not the best idea as developmentally your probably not ready.

Whats wrong with just telling teens "your not ready yet".

Of course why not give information about how to inject heroin or how to roll a spliff of how to go knacker drinking down the fields, sure kids are going to do it anyway.

Yes by definition it is liberally biased. People have the right to do what they want to with their own bodies and the information about this should not be controlled.

We already give out info on safer injecting practices, at the same time as they get this info they will be connecting with treatment services.

If you end up in a clinic reading about safer injecting, well to be fair their is a good chance you will need that info soon.

Staff at my clinic have been giving out info like on drugs and sex to anyone who needs them. At least this way they get the best info available and if the need extra support or treatment staff can try get them to avail of it.

However, no body forces such behaviour on anyone, people will always be told the safest sex is no sex and to avoid all drug use if possible. However, if people are going to do these things, yes a profession should talk to them telling them the consequences of such behaviour.

Would you rather we deny people access to this info?

But this information is controlled. Dont you see. Its controlled accrording to the bias of those writing it.

I would agree that adults have a right to do what they want with their own bodies. I personally draw the line at a government funded website aimed at teen mental health not firstly at least saying " kids maybe engaging in threesums at your age is probably not advisable" as a starting point.
