Saddam was a monster but don't forget he was once armed by The United States. I don't mourn his passing but NATO have made a bigger sh*thole out of Iraq. No they didn't. Global warming has always been just one aspect of climate change. And whatever about the causes of it; virtually nobody disputes that average global temperatures are rising.

What puzzles me about Al Gore is that he was in the "second-most-important" position in the world for eight years, with vast resources and influence at his disposal and it was only when the Presidency of the USA was snatched from him (to the surprise of almost everyone) that he began blubbering on about this issue.

If I were one to blatantly pretend that I'm a psychologist (and I am!) I'd say a bit of his mind broke when he was robbed of almost certain power. You could literally see his brains seeping from his head! Some of the stuff he and his friends came out with about AGW was wildly inflammatory, but that's how you make the big bucks. $70million? Nice work.

I dispute it. They are not rising. Try a trendline out on the most recent data. They are rising over 40 years but not 10 years.

There's noone so blind as those that wont see unfortunately.

Sea temperatures are also on the rise, wait and see what a change in the gulf stream will do to northern Europe.
We're already experiencing wetter summers due to a shift in the jet stream and this will be small potatoes compared to what a shift in the gulf stream will do.

I'm lving this retrospective fitting of current weather to "climate change".
Cold winters the past few years were more evidence. Cold summer was evidence. Hot summer is evidence. You can't win.

Er no I don't remember at all when Al Gore was god, was even living in the States during his supposed 'reign' as an evangelist and 2nd in command (although in Dan Quayle was a VP:rolleyes:, look at Biden, so I really don't hold being a VP in a high regard). Once again the Simpsons had it right.
