Im happy, just pointing out the extent of the corruption that went on in Scottish football. Imagine an English former premiership manager came out and said the Man U chairman appointed him as manager of another club. Pretty mental stuff.

    Wait a minute?

    This is the exact quote?
Recalling Murray’s phone call Calderwood said: “I’ve got a friend at Dunfermline we want you to go in there.”

Really? That's what you're getting hot and bothered about?
Two chairmen had a chat, one of whom was looking for a manager, and the other recommended Calderwood?

    Holy Coincidences Batman!

So whats your view on Calderwoods comments then?

Usual head sand scenario is it?

If you really believe this sort of thing does not happen in the EPL or in every other league then you are very naive

No think its you that suffers from that.
I think it was someone telling someone else there was a job going and he would put in a good word.
I refuse to believe even Calderwood would be stupid enough to implicate himself in any corruptio

Sandaza will never kick a ball again for the rangers. How will he be welcomed if he plays again?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,014 ✭✭✭Eirebear

    No.

Well that's the one that's all over the Celtic conspiracy filled websites.

    More nonsense.

Why is everything a conspiracy with you lot?

Name these conspiracy filled websites, and if you want to listen to the full interview it was on radio scotlands off the ball show.

More proof that there is a Masonic conspiracy at the heart of Scottish football if you ask me.

Who exactly is "you lot", as a matter of interest?

Just wondering how sweeping the generalisations are today.

Ok guys, Masterton never gave Murray 800 million worth of loans. Just made it up for the craic.

Keep your head in the sand.

The default position seems to be its a timmy conspiracy.

    that's the best one yet.
Name these conspiracy filled websites, and if you want to listen to the full interview it was on radio scotlands off the ball show.

A quick google search brought up the following
    Video Celts
    http://videocelts.com/2013/03/blogs/calderwood-admits-murray-link-to-get-dunfermline-job

    The above quote used.
Which also goes straight for the Sutton angle.

    The Celtic Rumours Twitter Feed
Again, the Sutton angle - no direct quote.

    Celtic News Now
Just a link to the VideoCelts article.

    Celtic Underground
A rather lovely hyperbolic article, containing no quotes and ****load of conjecture.

    The internet, a wonderful place.

Says the person who tried to imply 'funny hand shake' (we all know what that means) business was going on.

Go and listen to the interview. Come back and form an opinion that isn't the usual everything is a conspiracy against us crap. It was Calderwood that said it, we never made it up.

Right now, I don't have time to listen to the interview - I can only go on what is being reported within the ranks of Celtic related blogs.
You're not exactly offering me anything more enlightening either.

Murray reccomended a manager to a friend, and put in a good word for him.
    Big deal.

    Sutton wasn't right.

Lol, the level of corruption in Scottish football is shown by Calderwood getting the Dunfermline job.

Christ almighty, BhoscaCapall has a rival in the trolling stakes. Funny handshakes with Bank of Scotland etc, will the lunacy ever end?

Your fellow fans must be embarrassed by the **** you talk, cos I cringe at the stuff you believe.

Tommy from Glasgow strikes again :p

By doing the club and fans a service ?

We get a chance to get rid of Sandaza and maybe we finally find out who keeps providing that idiot with phone numbers of Rangers-related people.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,367 ✭✭✭witnessmenow

I actually didnt think the call was that bad....

He had good things to say about the club and the fans (when under no pressure to say so)

Its hardly a shock that a foreigner moved to Rangers (in the position they are currently in) for the money is it?

The stuff about wanting to see the contracts first is a bit dodge ok, but im not sure is it "never play for the club again" bad.

Althought 2 goals for 4.5k a week isnt a great return, maybe youd be better off shipping him to the MLS

I think the bears need to calm down a wee bit, if Sandaza's form hadn't been poor this would have been a storm in a tea cup and we would be doing what we really should be doing and supporting our player over the antics of a good for nothing scumbag.

Rangers will deal with this in house, if they don't they give "Tommy" a certain power and the attention he so dearly craves.

"A good for nothing scumbag"? It was a prank call ffs. It's not his fault that these people are naive.
As a poster said above, the call wasn't even that bad.

Have you listened to his bull**** on radio phone ins?

    Waste.Of.Space.

As for the call - he was quite clearly trying to get Sandaza to divulge information on McCoist and Green.
You find that acceptable as a "prank"?

I've only heard him prank Craig Whyte and Willie Frazer. I'm not sure why you'd bother listening in tbh, it's obvious you're not going to like it.

    Yes.

    Fine.

    We'll end it there.

I hope you never have to suffer a "prank" which puts your career, and that of others around you in danger.

Talk about blowing it completely out of proportion.

But tbh If you're stupid enough to give out that kind of information on the phone to someone you don't know, about your employer, then you deserve no sympathy.
