Some vsync oddies going on perhaps?, it can do funny things to framerates in some engines when the actual framerate dips under 60 FPS.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,203 ✭✭✭Squaredude

Yeah sounds like a vsync problem, when playing dead space 3 vsync would not let me go above 30fps no matter what I did other than disabling vsync.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,930 ✭✭✭✭TerrorFirmer

Nope, vsync is disabled! Shouldn't let this get to me as it's not even that good a game, but you know yourself, it's just one of those niggling little things.... :p

You're using HDMI. I'd put money on it.

Its the HDTV profiles, you need to ad a 1080p 60hz profile to the list. Had problems with CRY1 doing this sh1t before.

Interesting. I've used HDMI at 1920x1200 60FPS fine. Is it only a 1080 thing then?

    Not using HDMI anyway. :D

That's no a bad idea though; have you got another cable you could try? Even a VGA or something, just to rule it out.

    Would a 550W super flower be enough for overclocking a 7950 and a 3570k?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Yup. It's what's usually specced with it.

How do you increase the max core clock on afterburner? It stops at 1100 Mhz.

I think if you use Trixx it's already unlocked. I Googled online and there's a patch which unlocks it for MSI Afterburner. Be careful, though, the first method I used caused my screen to flicker. (I think it was the method whereby you change a value in the configuration file to 1). I can't find the other way (the one that worked for me) but maybe someone else can help. Or you can just dl Trixx :))

Yep still shipping at that price, no matter how big or small the order is.

And as far as I'm aware the basket tool is up to date :)

There is one or two sites that need adding once I get some time and motivation, but all the sites listed as working should be completely up-to-date.

Was thinking of picking one of these up. Seems great for the price and I've been meaning to replace my crappy keyboard for a while. Mechanical switches and no keypad. Exactly what I was looking for a crazy cheap price.

    Anyone got one?

Right lads, putting my order through ATM, got to this page and not sure which one to select ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,414 ✭✭✭Fluffy88

Leave the "Trusted Shops Guarantee" box unticked and click next.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,513 ✭✭✭Damo 2k9

Cheers man! Just ordered, just wanted to make sure everything was alright :o

Again, another question sorry lads :o
In the email I got it says "remitee: hardwareversand.de GmbH" is that the same as the receiver name ? Or would hardwareversand.de suffice? Cheers, I have everything else its just that

Been messing around with my ASUS 7950. Put on SKyrim on Ultra was getting 60 fps. Turned it down to low and I'm still stuck at 60 fps. I was just wondering why it might be doing this. I don't need any more than 60 fps but I just wanted to see if my overclocks were doing much in game.

game is capped at 60fps unless you mod the settings file due to the physics engine ****s itself if its any higher

Protip: don't order off amazon when it says "in stock but may take 1-2 more days to deliver" Its dispatched from Germany and uses the same crappy DHL shipping service that HWVS used in the past.

For some reason, the status has been stuck like this since it got dispatched even though the warehouse manager (contacted via amazon support) says the parcel has definitely left the warehouse

This, plus I'm pretty sure the game is largely CPU bound anyway.

Don't have it installed at the mo but there an option for v sync (or vertical sync) in settings? If so turn it off.

Got one of those offers I reckon was too good to pass up, so I didn't :o:D

And about Skyrim, theres no option for VSync, you have to edit the Config/INI file to turn it off (it'll be set to either 1 or 0, set it to the opposite and that should turn it off)

Just a quick note: Corsair rock.

I managed to break a 5.25 bay cover the other day. Emailed Corsair about it on Wednesday, just got an email there with a link to the part in the Corsair shop, and a coupon code to get it for free, with free delivery. Win.

Yup, their customer support is pretty amazing. Bought a 500R for my girlfriend a while back and the front panel USB was DOA. Sent off an email and had a new one on its with within a few hours.
