    He's pretty famous in his own right though. Him being made grand marshal has nothing to do with his relationship to Bertie. And even if it did, so what?

    Nicky Byrne has done well for himself and promoted Ireland, he deserves it imo.

    John Giles did it last year, he has not done anymore to deserve it than Nicky Byrne.
