Ok I've decided to get rid for the next couple of weeks as well, one more on the bandwagon!

I currently have RVP, Sturridge & Lambert.

Is Suarez the best option? I'm not really pushed about the whole coverage thing for this one - Sturridge is there and he's staying there as part of my long term strategy unless I decide to kick RVP for good - I'm purely worried about what individual striker is going to return the most points with any price increases a welcome boost as well.

Suarez is the stand out candidate right?

Welcome on board weve room for a few more. Ive two seats reserved for lemlin and futureguy.I think suarez over the next two weeks is a good option as is cisse fletcher, lukaka and benteke if u want a starter just for next week and remy if u want a gamble

This is one ride I won't be catching! As explained, I've no need to - there's no standout replacement that I don't have IMO and the only player I do want to get into my team, Rafael, should also see his playing twice reduced IMO.

Th team that played against QPR, bar Nani out for Scholes and Hernandez out for Rooney, was the team for the Madrid game IMO and I'm expecting 6 or 7 changes for the Norwich game.

ah I know different circumstances for us all. Makes the game more interesting the days of rvp suarez and the same midfielders in every team are over.

I'm not sure they are. Most people still have 4 or 5 of Mata, Fellaini, Walcott, Sissoko, Michu and Bale. And have Suarez, Lambert and RVP or another.

Come gw 29 u will see a lot of teams with just 1/2 out of rvp fellani mata walcott. Then theres the captaincy issue huge options this wk, whereas it was just rvp every week for most.

If Chelsea were playing next week I would have doubled up on their midfielders and taken out RVP but have it now so if he plays he gets me points but if not I have Pablo Hernandez as first sub. Happy enough with that.

The Change is upon us. RVP's going down in price tonight.

Just sold him for Benteke who will be on my bench this week unless Sturridge or Fellaini don't play. I sold him for 13.6m, will he drop .4m before the beginning of GW30?

Just sold the great man for Suarez so another boardsie hops on the bandwagon! This is the third time I've brought Suarez into my team this season, maybe I'll hold onto him this time with a favourable run of fixtures coming up. I have the cash available to bring RVP back in if need be though. If United have a dgw I'll more than likely get him back in for that, Rooney would be another option.

    Trigger = pulled

    Suarez in for RVP

Suppose I better captain him now.

Van Persie has trained all week and is fit for tomorrow, Ferguson has confirmed. (not that I think he'll start!)

Prediction: 2-0 to Wigan,Suarez to hit the post twice and get booked;)

(I have him in my team aswell)

RVP likes to play so I reckon he might just start & if things go United's way,he'll come off at around 60 mins.

The way I see it if rvp starts it was a bad move taking him out and if he doesnt it was a good move. What I mean is if he comes off the bench for 20 mins and scores 2 rvp sellers have been unlucky. Likewise if rvp starts and gets a 2 pointer we have got away with it.

    NOOO :(

So basically we've all transferred out the best player in the game ahead of a home match against Norwich. Ah F*ck. It seemed such a good idea earlier in the week :)

What's the story with Van Persie price ?

Was supposed to go down last night. Didn't. And now is only on -5% on fiso. This suits me perfectly but what the hell happened ?

    - edit -

Ohhh... Just checked my FF team. He's not flagged anymore. So his price goes under protection. If only that could be a turning point in my season...

After Fergie's comments & not transferring out RVP this week, should I captain RVP ahead of Bale????

If RVP starts I can see him playing 60mins, nice tune up ahead of Real, should Utd be beating Norwich or will Fergie name him on the bench and only use him should Utd be struggling to break down Norwich.

Only guarantee is Bale will play 90mins barring injury or the dreaded red card against Arsenal.

serious differential if you do captain him and he starts. Its a big IF though. I do think because he didnt get 90 mins against qpr theres more of a chance than there was of him starting, however on the flipside they then play real and chelsea later on in the week, so surely the game to rest rvp is norwich.
I know people will say does he need a rest and he probably doesnt but theres a need to keep the whole squad happy and fergie traditionally does that by playing them in the easier/less important games.

Going on Utd selections over the season, when RVP hasn't started I think he has come on as a sub every time. Not a Utd fan, so I am sure somebody will correct me if I am wrong?

However, RVP has been Utd's main man this season & I can see Fergie playing him for 60mins & subbing him either way ahead of the Real match. I don't see Rooney starting the Norwich game, as he has had more niggly injuries over the season & Fergie will want him chomping at the bit ahead of Real & Chelsea.

However, we are all guessing ifs, buts & maybe's....

The talk with rooney is that he needs a run of games to fire on all cylinders so feeling is he will start against norwich.
If you feel he will start and get 60 mins in a home game against norwich I can see why your considering making him captain , I dont feel he will start so I dont have him. As you say none of us know its ifs, buts & maybes.

I'm going to pass too. Thought about it and I have a gut feeling that RVP will start. Can't shake it. He has played 70 minutes over the last 2 games and has stated he needs gametime to remain sharp.

Might wake up tomorrow and change my mind (like I have done a dozen times already this week) but for now, will keep him.

The protection on RVP's price kicking in at the last minute is a sickener. Reeks of someone with their finger on the button at the FPL doing himself a favour.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,674 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

my solution is to just keep RVP and captain Bale or Aguero.

I'll then make a decision on whether to sell RVP depending on the Madrid result.

that being said, I don't think he'll start v Norwich.

I'd say the game was earmarked already as a game where he'd be rested, and the hip injury will not have done much to affect match fitness so that he'd need a tune up.

I think I am keeping him too after a lot of mulling over

I have Suarez and Lambert already, and getting him back in would involve ditching Suarez (following a few other badly needed changes in my team).

    I really prefer RVP+Suarez+ Lambert to RVP+Sturridge+Lambert.

However for those who transferred him out for Lambert or Suarez this week, I think it was correct decision...

sturridge being a doubt is really fcukin me up again! is he ever probably fit!

    that's not true necessarily.

no decision had been made on RVP's fitness so it was a risk selling him.

for those who were losing no money on him, yes it was a fine move because he could be gotten back any GW at any time at no cost.

for those losing 1m or something in selling, it's a bit trickier, and it depends on how strong the rest of their team is. if the rest of the team is strong he may not be missed.

the value of RVP for the rest of the season IMO, relies hugely on whether Utd get knocked out of the CL or not this week. it was always ideal to hold off until thrn if possible, even with GW 29 coming. most teams should be able to cover him missing one week.

If RVP starts and gets more than 60 min against Norwich you have to think that Fergie has VP (C) in his FF team and deliberately stated he was fit yesterday evening to f*** up a lot of us ahead of this GW. Bloody Fergie anyway  :D.

I've seen people who's price should have been protected go down before .

Also if they're protected the % doesn't usually go up or down on Fiso or TotalFpl

It's gone from -7 to -13 in the last few hours .

I don't think his price is protected I think he'd have had to have an orange flag to have protection now .

    You said you have Aguero?

Are you benching Aguero and RVP next week? or bringing in Suarez

what is your strikeforce if I may ask?

A lot of questions but Aguero is intriguing post GW29;)

Well the price protection is supposed to only apply when the flag disappears for a player flagged for at least 2 day. This matches VP case. Hence maybe the confusion from your first statement...

I agree with the part in bold though but I presume that during the price protection period the NTO % will behave normally but his price won't change if it goes above 100 %.
We'll have to wait and see when that happens...
