The 4 on 4 off shift pattern for response officers was dumped a few years ago. Their now a flexible shift pattern, working early, lates and nights. It's flexible which means your start and finish time can be changed with little notice which cuts down on o/t. Not going to state usual start or finish times for obvious reasons

Once anyone who commits and joins, prepare for unsociable hours, and what social life you may have had, will no longer exist lol

Officer Reynolds was part of the very last intake.

She could have been a boardie.

    Good stuff.

How do you know by mid-march?

I have been wondering when I would hear from them.

It says on careers section on their website-

    Recruitment Update
Please note we have received a significant volume of applicants for the recently advertised vacancies, and as such, anticipate that all candidates will be notified of the outcome of their applications by mid March. We will notify all candidates by email, please do not telephone for an update on your application as we will not be able to advise on specific applications. Please see a list of FAQ's here.

We anticipate that the majority of successful applicants will be assessed and security cleared in readiness for the start of the NCA on 1st October 2013.

    Keep me updated!

I only heard about 48 hours before the deadline, as someone phoned me to tell me about it.

It took nearly all those 48 hours to fill in the application.

My friend told me about it otherwise I wouldn't have known they were even recruiting! You? Hopefully that works in our favour though.. Less competition!!

Yes.. The application form was a nightmare. Managed to get it in with about 20 minutes to spare. Was a tad rushed towards the end though but hopefully it's enough to get an interview :s

And hey desertcreat_15 I'm a newbie to this forum so don't blame me ;)

Likewise. I only heard via a friend in the PSNI. 2 days before it had to be in.

I emailed it off at about 23:30 on the Sunday. I was glad to see the back of the app. Hope it should be enough to get through to the next stage.

My friend told me the interviews might be in London.

That's awesome guys good luck and all the best with it, was it just an agent role as such you's applied for?

    Non experienced investigators.

The psni is still the dream but this is another option.

I presume this is the news report to go along with that video, considering it was uploaded today.

I've applied for the post of investigator. Have been told that I'll jump the initial stage as I already work as an civilian investigator.

I'm waiting to see how Stormont will sort out powers of the NCA.
