Did you have no bills at that address? were you paying your Uncle rent?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

No i wasn't paying rent which will probably go against me. I was helping him out on his farm

To be honest - I'm not sure then - you may have to be assessed on your parents income

I think you can but your best bet is to contact SUSI and ask

Anyone know the best way to contact them about payment. Is there a different email. Put bank details in 2 weeks ago and still waiting.
I'd say you missed the payment date and will get it next month. We appealed our son's grant and it took 5 weeks and was in our favour. We weren't asked for our bank details, but put them in anyway and were paid in January.

Sent an email to their payments dept. Thought once I got my award letter wouldn't have to contact them again. Definitely can't manage for another month without payment.

You may not have to wait a month. They made some interim payments early on, not on the assigned dates, but always on a Friday.

Got approved a few days ago, bank details entered so waiting now for payment to come through. I hope it does not take too long.
They requested additional documents from me, upon sending them in I got a letter a week later saying approved (to give others a time frame).
I sent off the last of documents a week ago and aoife told me I was at the final stage of calculating and creating an award letter does mean I got the grant

I think if she is saying you will get an award letter presumably this means you are awarded the grant

I've been in contact through facebook with them and they said my first grant payment will be in March even though I was approved in October? They also got my name wrong in the reply. This situation is ridiculous.

Show the College the letter from SUSI saying you've been approved and they will back off.

I entered my bank details in November. This is actually getting ridiculous. The system is a shambles, I'm working like a dog most of the week just to pay my bills so now of course my grades are suffering.

That's ridiculous. Dunno what the hold up is with payments. Have you checked with your college admin if susi have contacted them regarding attendance?

Until you get a letter either way, the College won't hassle you.

My grounds for appealing the original SUSI decision have been upheld. Should have a decision by Feb 8th. I've been in constant contact with TDs so they have to keep to the deadline (I hope).

Has anyone had their appeal rejected after being told that their application will be reassessed based on their appeal grounds being upheld?
Sorry if that's a confusing question.

I'm in the exact same position, Nicole, and would love to hear from anyone who has been at this stage of their appeal to know what happened next. I'm worried that it might get rejected anyway.

No you still get paid monthly, if you are passed you will be reimbursed the difference.

I got a letter today looking for more documentation (stuff I knew they had!) I waited until I had calmed down to ring them. When I rang them, I was told that I was awarded the grant yesterday! They said that they'll be dealing with the college directly so I should be free from this bureaucratic nightmare!

    are you a postgraduate student??
