I've seen a PSVita going, preowned, for 150,with a 4gb card in one of the "sell your kids santy toys for drink and fag money" shops. So, not only will you get everything described, brilliant you'll also get tears of sadness into the bargain! Score!

This was probably posted before but I had to laugh at the ten second mark. Could it be a side effect from too much time spent playing it?

I'll probably end up doing the exact same thing with the Vita that I did with the PSP.

Want one on release due to tech porn reasons, but abstain.

Pick one up a few years down the line for a fraction of the price.

Mod it to play everything under the sun.

    Get bored with it.

Trade it away for something else.

That should be the sales pitch for both the psp & Vita. Impressive hardware & handhelds technically, there's just something about them I find...boring. Thats said the PS3 falls into the same league

    Aren't they though?!

I did play some good games on the PSP...but most of them just felt like standard PS2 games which I'd played to death already. They were pretty much just console games on a handheld.

I don't want console games on a handheld, I want handheld games on a handheld!

That and the crappy controls. I've moaned at length about them already though :D

That reminds me my PSP is in bits I must buy an aftermarket case for it and swap it over...

Definitely worth getting a PSP now esepcially if you like JRPGs. It did a bit of a saturn in the last two years and there's been a glut of great games for it.

    Atari Jaguar commercial:

Alien vs Predator for the Atari Jaguar. You might not want to play it alone.

    Fixed your advert.

Turtles 2 on the nes, thoughts? Worth playing/getting?

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 53,290 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

I liked it, it's a great two played game and fairer than the credit eating arcade machine. They added new levels as well.

Any idea of the usual cost of it Retro? I'm looking at one for €40 and its a pal one. Is the NTSC version more expensive or cheaper.
I believe there isn't much of a difference between the US and JP versions. Pizza Hut and the amount of kicks an enemy takes.

It's worth **** all, one of the more popular NES games, there's tonnes of copies. As with all NES games you'll find it much cheaper NTSC.

Hey Retr0, did you see AvP for the first time, in the flesh at my Beers? That game stinks alright, never had any idea why people held it such apparent esteem.

For a moment there I thought you were talking about the CPS2 game and was about to give you an earful :D

I've never really played the Jag version. Think I had a bash on an emu but that was it.

Yeah that as my first time playing it. I think my parents did me a favour not getting me the jaguar I wanted with that stinker.

I just got a PSP with the intention of setting it up for retro gaming goodness but it's a little more complex that I thought (I'm someone who has problems making a Pot Noddle :l). Any have any experience with modding them?

Persona 4 golden is about all there is to play on it at the moment other than a few psp/psone games (enjoying chrono cross atm).

Assuming You're talking about an original psp and not a vita It's really easy to put custom firmware on them. What firmware version is it?

Animated sigs are against boards rules. I was wondering how long it would last before getting noticed :D

Oh can we start making really over the top sigs like they do on other forums.

Go to warez-bb and just take a look

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 34,753 CMod ✭✭✭✭CiDeRmAn

RIP my dog, Prada, knocked down by some scumbag on the road, had to bring her to the vets where we did the only thing we could.
Very sad, we had her for 13 years, have to let my son know after school...

I heard that back in the 80s a French lady laughed at Iwata's penis and he's held a grudge against Europe ever since.
